CHED SGS-LSA has two (2) membership classifications, renewable every year, as follows:

Regular Member - a graduate of any degree from Delivering Higher Education Institution (DHEI) through the SGS-Local CHED scholarship.

Associate Member - one who is in the roster of CHED SGS-L scholars and is undertaking the scholarship in the recognized DHEI, presently pursuing a graduate degree program. The Associate Member may become a Regular Member after submitting the
credentials of the completed degree through the SGS-Local CHED scholarship.

CHED SGS-LSA, Inc. Turnover Ceremony Marks New Leadership

The CHED Scholarships for Graduate Studies –Local Scholars’ Association, Inc. held its Turnover Ceremony to the newly elected officers on December 10, 2022 at the Hotel Lorenza, Tacloban City.

Outgoing president, Dr. Perlita M. Vivero, turned over the responsibility to the incoming president, Dr. Rufo A. Labarette. The activity was attended by Dr. Billy Danday, Dr. Salvie S. Magtanao, Dr. Maria Lourdes Tan, and Dr. Anavil Lou Balanon. Also present was the association’s adviser, Dr. Leo Camposano.

The outgoing officers are:

Secretary: Beljun Enaya
Treasurer: Dr. Myra Abayon

CHED SGS-LSA Inc. Holds 1st Annual General Assembly

The CHED Scholarships for Graduate Studies -Local Scholars' Association Inc. held its 1st Annual General Assembly last November 11, 2022 via Zoom. The association, also known as CHED SGS-LSA Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit organization.

The assembly, organized by the officers of said association with the technical support provided by CHED Regional Office VIll, aimed to provide updates on the activities, membership, and finance of the association.

Dr. Perlita M. Vivero, the president of the association, commenced formally the assembly with her opening remarks. She warmly welcomed the members of the CHED SGS-LSA Inc. This was followed by a short but profound message from Dr. Leo D. Camposano, adviser of the association and Supervising Education Program Specialist, CHED Regional Office VIII.

During the assembly, the association's SEC registration, Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws, and status of obtaining BIR-issued official receipt were disseminated. After which were the comprehensive presentations of the following: President's/Executive Report; Vice President's/Research Committee Report; Secretary's/Membership Committee Report;
Treasurer's/Finance Committee Report; Auditor's/Audit Committee Report; and Public Relations Officer's/Election Committee Report.

The highlight of the assembly was the election of new officers:
President: Dr. Rufo A. Labarrete
Vice President: Dr. Maria Lourdes Tan
Secretary: Dr. Anavil Lou B. Tulin, Treasurer: Remeca Sereño Auditor: Maria Lucille Dollado
Public Relations Officer: Teody Lester Panela

The assembly was attended by CHED SGS-LSA Inc. official members.
