"Always first, Always Ready, and Always there". In this world full of negativity there will always be a light that will bring hope to the hopeless.

Today marks the 75th founding anniversary of the Philippine Red Cross- Kalinga Chapter since its foundation on April 15, 1947. It is indeed a historic organization with many accounts of testimonies from all the elders that had been part of it for how many years and also the testimonies of the many people that it had helped along the way. This was celebrated with the PNP and the students from different schools of Tabuk City, Kalinga at the Kalinga State University gymnasium, April 15.

The Youth For Peace Philippines Cordillera Youth Brigade had been one of the partners of the PRC in delivering care to everyone through volunteerism. We are fortunate to be part of such a nostalgic celebration.

With the theme "Leading Through Uncertainty: Rebuilding Youth's Involvement In Peacebuilding Through Servant Leadership, Social Impact, And Democratic Participation To Achieve One Young World” the Cordillera Youth Brigade, Armed Forces of the Philippines, and Philippine National Police united in conducting a 3-day leadership seminar to address the issue of terrorism in the province and the crucial role of the youth in peacebuilding held at 503rd Infantry Brigade Brgy Calanan Tabuk City on April 5-7, 2023.

This event showcased the enthusiasm and passion of the young leaders around Tabuk as they participated in the seminar, symbolizing hope and potential for a brighter future. It also served as a platform for the youth to voice out their concerns and ideas, encouraging democratic participation and empowering them to make a difference in their communities.

Through lectures with inspiring speakers, group activities, and team building, the participants gained a deeper understanding of security education and servant leadership. This 3-day leadership seminar conveyed a message of hope and empowerment, highlighting the importance of youth involvement in peacebuilding and the collective effort to fight against terrorism. Moreover, it served as a catalyst for change, equipping young leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to promote social impact and achieve One Young World. 🤍
