𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗼𝗯𝗿𝗮 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗡𝗡𝗖–𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝗨𝗡 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 🌾☘️☀️

Josh Barcelon, Executive Director of the Albay Young Farmers Organizations Inc. (AYFO Inc.), and Wilfredo Bonaobra, President of the Albay Province 4H Club Federation , were elected as Regional Lead Convenor and Co-Convenor, respectively, of the National Nutrition Council Bicol - Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Youth Network.

The election was held on 27 August 2026 during the 2026 Regional SUN Networks General Assembly at Ninong’s Hotel, Legazpi City, themed “SUNrise at the Core: Learning, Leadership, and Action.”

The SUN Youth Network Philippines brings together youth organizations and young leaders to advance action on hunger and malnutrition through advocacy, nutrition awareness, collaboration, and youth participation in the country’s nutrition agenda.

Barcelon and Bonaobra will lead the network in strengthening youth participation, mobilizing youth organizations, and promoting youth-led nutrition advocacy and action across the Bicol Region.

𝗔 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗥𝗢𝗖! 💚🍀🌱

The 𝟰𝗛 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, in partnership with 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗰, successfully conducted the 𝟰𝗛 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗰 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 last 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at the 𝗪𝗼𝘄 𝗩𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁.

The activity introduced the youth to the 𝟰𝗛 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯—𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁, 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, its mission, opportunities, and role in developing young people through agriculture, leadership, service, and community involvement. 🌱🍀

But the day didn’t end with learning—it marked the beginning of a new generation of 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻, 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿. The event culminated in the 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟰𝗛 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗰 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀, officially giving the chapter its first set of youth leaders who will help turn ideas into meaningful actions for their community.
