Lipa Archdiocesan Youth Ministry - LAYM The official page of the Ministry for the Youth of the Archdiocese of Lipa. LAYMโ€™s Pastoral Head and Spiritual Adviser is the Archbishop of Lipa. Fr.

LAYM is the coordinating, animating, and collaborating body and liaison of the Ministry for the Youth as one of the eight (8) Pastoral Ministries in the Archdiocese of Lipa, with the youth ministry offices and youth councils in the parishes. It genuinely participates and shares with the ministry and mission of the Local Church in the Province of Batangas. LAYM is directly involved in the total human formation of young Batangueรฑos according to the life, mission and teachings of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. It is composed of all ministries, commissions, councils, teams, desks, organizations, movements, centers, and the like pertaining to the Youth and its apostolate in the Archdiocese of Lipa. It particularly caters to the concerns and needs of the youth, youth ministers/leaders and other youth structures of and within the Parish community in order to foster an open and collaborative ministry in a spirit of solidarity and dialogue. VISION - A growing young Batangueรฑo called by the Father to have a personal relationship with Christ and others and to serve the Church and the society following the examples of Mary and St. Joseph guided by the Holy Spirit. MISSION - We, the young pilgrims of Archdiocese of Lipa, commit ourselves to nurture in our lives the values of faith, hope and charity by being Christ-centered and prayerful that will lead to the path of holiness through our service. โœจ๐™๐™š๐™›๐™ก๐™š๐™˜๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ:
What does it take to be good? Is it giving your siblings a portion of your food, or lending them your toys? How about giving alms to a beggar and wishing them well? Or is it treating your neighbor with respect? This question may sound rhetorical. It can have many answers, but one thing is certain: mahirap ang maging mabuti. Madaling maging mabait, pero ang pagiging tunay na mabuti? Mahirap, sobrang hirap.

Sa buong buhay ko, ang akala ko sapat na ang pagiging mabait para paburan ka ng Diyos. Basta gumawa ka ng maganda, matik sa langit na diretso mo. As I grew older, I realized one thing: He has no favorites. Lahat tayo ay Kanyang kinakalinga, minamahal, pinapaburan, at higit sa lahat pinoprotektahan sa mga paraan na ramdam natin o minsan ay pinipilit nating takpan.

Madaming misconception kapag youth leader o naglilingkod ka sa simbahan. Dapat mabait ka, dapat hindi ka bastos, dapat ganito, dapat ganyan. It seems like there is stereotyping just because you serve the Church. Parang we are caged from doing things that favor us, just because hindi pasok sa standards kapag naglilingkod ka. In fact, servers are human too. Nagkakamali, natutukso, naliligaw. Ngunit hindi ito basehan ng karakter ng isang indibidwal. Maybe it is time for people to stop the stereotyping. Hindi sila perpekto, hindi tayo perpekto. Nobody is.

But one thing is sure: katulad ng Gospel ngayon, ang taong may mercy at compassion sa kapwa ang siyang papaburan ng Diyos. Alam Niya na sa lahat ng pagkakataon, maaasahan natin ang isaโ€™t isa. Kaya kung itatanong ko ulit sa sarili ko, what does it take to be good? It takes nothing, because you can be good in the littlest merciful way you do for the sake of your neighbor.

Tulad ng Samaritan sa Gospel, nawa ay makita natin ang ating sarili bilang taga-akay ng mga tao patungo sa ikabubuti nila. Gumawa tayo ng mabuti, whether people see it or not. We do good not for the rewards, but for eternal life with Him and simply because we want to do it.
