Twenty (20) women members of SMPC La Union received 400 pieces of mushroom fruiting bags as a start-up kit for a livelihood project under the GAD program titled "Strengthening of Women Cooperatives and Associations in La Union."

The project was awarded by the City Agriculturist Office, represented by Ms. Josefina N. Sacnit, GAD Focal Person, together with Ms. Venus Sagay, SMPC Branch Manager in La Union.

This project aims to capacitate rural women members of FCAs (Farmers' Cooperatives and Associations) to become sustainable entrepreneurs.

The distribution of gift packs to elderly members of the Suyo Multipurpose Cooperative (SMPC) aged 80 and above is a cherished tradition during the holiday season. The first batch of beneficiaries includes senior citizens from Suyo Proper Centro and Uso.
