In line with DENR Memorandum Circular No. 2026-02 on the adoption of the Compressed Work Week arrangement, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) will implement updated office hours beginning May 11, 2026.

OPERATING HOURS
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Friday: Closed

• The required 40 working hours per week are compressed into 4 working days
• All personnel will render 10 working hours per day, exclusive of a one-hour lunch break

To ensure the efficient processing of mining-related applications and official transactions, stakeholders are advised to coordinate their requirements within the designated schedule.

Established under Executive Order No. 399, the Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award (PMIEA) aims to promote sound environmental management in the exploration, development, and utilization of the country’s mineral resources. The 2026 PMIEA will be implemented under the new framework introduced by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 2025-002, following the transitory cycle applied during the 2025 awards.
