Surigao Youth Convergence is participating in the Peace & Arts Project organized by forumZFD Philippines๏ฟผ in Samal from May 11 to 14, 2026.
Representing the organization are Joshua A. Orag, Director for Finance and Administration; Neilwin E. Ligaya, Fellow and Project Manager of Project SUPER; and Pre-Fellows Mighty Evelyn Mapa and Charles Jr. Weling.
The Peace & Arts Project is a two-part workshop series that gathers young peacebuilders from across the country to strengthen their understanding of peacebuilding and conflict transformation while exploring art as a medium for self-expression and social change. Participants engage in reflection, intergenerational dialogue, and hands-on creative sessions that will culminate in artworks to be showcased in public exhibitions.
Through its participation, SYG reaffirms its commitment to empowering young people to use creativity, dialogue, and community engagement in promoting peace and inclusion in their communities.
