UAP Surigao successfully held its 1st General Membership Meeting for Fiscal Year 2025-2026.
The meeting highlighted the accomplishments and finished business of the previous fiscal year 2024-2025, and presented the initial plans and upcoming activities for the new term.

Presided by Ar. Crister Kent J. Peñaloza as he officially begins his 2nd term as Chapter President, together with the Board of Directors and attending members.

Looking forward to meaningful plans, impactful projects, and stronger engagement with the community in the months ahead.

EmpowerHER: Weaving Art and Environmental Stewardship among Indigenous Women and Girls of Sama Bajau

In celebration of International Women's Month, UAP SURIGAO, Together with UN-Habitat , JCI Surigao Noeth, UAPGA - Surigao and UAPSA-SEC will host a special initiative to empower women, with a particular focus on Indigenous Peoples (IPs).

The UAP has always been a valuable partner in development for the Huy-anan sa Bajau, providing the families with safe and comfortable homes. However, beyond building shelters, we also have a responsibility to nurture the dreams of the next generation.

With this in mind, The UAP SURIGAO CHAPTER proposes a program aimed at enriching Bajau children’s potential in the arts, an initiative that not only fosters creativity but also inspires them to dream. Through this, we can empower creative young minds, instilling confidence and hope in their future endeavors.

🌊 In Celebration of World Architecture Day 2024 🌍

This morning, United Architects of the Philippines - Surigao Chapter, UAPGA - Surigao Chapter and UAPSA - Surigao Education Center came together for a meaningful coastal cleanup at Brgy. Ipil, demonstrating our commitment to a cleaner, more sustainable environment. As architects and aspiring architects, we recognize that building a better world goes beyond the structures we design. It also involves caring for the spaces that nurture us—both natural and built.

The coastal cleanup is a small but significant step toward preserving the beauty of our local environment, ensuring that our natural landscapes remain as inspiring as the buildings we create. With every piece of debris collected, we are reminded of our responsibility to lead by example and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Thank you to all the volunteers who made this event a success! Together, we’re not only shaping the cities of tomorrow but also protecting the environment that surrounds them. 🌿
