The second day began with Scoutโ€™s Own and Girl Power Groove, followed by Power Up and GSP Senior Program Updates. These activities encouraged active participation, leadership development, and a deeper understanding of the Girl Scout program. The gathering concluded with the Closing Ceremony, followed by the departure of participants.
Through these activities, the Girl Leaders were given meaningful opportunities to learn, lead, connect, and grow while strengthening their commitment to service and positive change.

Together, we continue to empower girls to become confident leaders and inspiring changemakers in their communities. ๐Ÿ’šโšœ๏ธ

3RD COUNCIL GATHERING OF GIRL LEADERS | HIGHLIGHTS

The Girl Scouts of the Philippines โ€“ Surigao del Norte Council successfully conducted the 3rd Council Gathering of Girl Leaders with the theme โ€œEmpowered Girls Inspiring Changeโ€ on August 15โ€“16, 2026 in Tubod, Surigao del Norte.

๐Ÿ“ธ DAY 1 | AUGUST 15, 2026

The gathering commenced with the arrival and registration of participants, followed by the Holy Mass, Opening Program, and Orientation. The afternoon sessions featured AFEH, Skills for Safety, and the Empowerment Circle, providing opportunities for the Girl Leaders to gain knowledge, develop essential skills, and strengthen their confidence. The day concluded with Girlsโ€™ Power Night and Taps, creating meaningful moments of fellowship and reflection.

Today, we proudly celebrate the 56th Charter Day Anniversary of Surigao City!

As members of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines โ€“ Surigao del Norte Council, we join our fellow Surigaonons in commemorating another year of our cityโ€™s journey, growth, and progress. From our beautiful shores to our strong and resilient communities, Surigao City continues to shine because of the people who call it home.

May this celebration remind us that being a Surigaonon is more than a place we belong toโ€”it is a responsibility to serve, care, lead, and make a difference in our community.

In times of hardship, even the smallest act of kindness can bring hope. The Girl Scouts of the Philippinesโ€“Surigao del Norte Council is calling for support for families affected by the recent fire in Espina Extension/Nueva, and Brgy. Nabago, Surigao City. ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ”ฅ

We are accepting monetary donations/cash, water and food packs, hygiene kits, and clothes for those who are in need. Every donation, big or small, can help provide comfort and hope to families who have lost so much.

The laughter filled every corner, little footsteps echoed with excitement, and every smile reminded us that the brightest moments often come from the smallest hearts.

The Twinklers Playday 2026 Surigao Del Norte Division was more than a day of funโ€”it was a celebration of childhood, friendship, confidence, and the joyful spirit of every Twinkler Girl Scout.

Every game encouraged courage.
Every activity sparked curiosity.
Every cheer strengthened friendships.
And every little achievement became a reminder that every great journey begins with one small step.

Behind every giggle was a lesson.
Behind every challenge was a chance to grow.
Behind every Twinkler was a future leader learning to be kind, confident, and ready to help others.

The Surigao del Norte Council proudly presents this yearโ€™s thirteen (13) Chief Girl Scout Medalists, a distinguished group of young women who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to the ideals of Girl Scouting. ๐Ÿ’š

They will be formally conferred the Chief Girl Scout Medal, the highest award in the Girl Scouts of the Philippines, on November 27, 2025, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City.

We extend our warmest congratulations to our awardees and honor their meaningful contributions to their communities.
