The Student-Teacherโs Association (STAss), in a powerhouse collaboration with the Carl Balita Review Center (CBRC), officially kicked off the LET Competency Enhancement Program today, May 11, 2026, at the SNSU Gymnasium. This intensive seminar is designed to sharpen the pedagogical skills and board-exam readiness of the fourth-year graduating students of Surigao del Norte State University.
Underscoring the massive scale and unified spirit of the event, the seminar brought together a grand assembly of fourth-year graduating students from the SNSU - Main, Claver, Malimono, and Mainit Campuses. The venue was packed with future educators from across the university system, all driven by a shared vision of passing the upcoming board examinations
The program commenced with a solemn Doxology and the singing of the National Anthem via a multimedia presentation. Dr. Elvis P. Patulin, Dean of the College of Teacher Education, formally opened the event with his Opening Remarks, emphasizing the college's unwavering commitment to producing top-tier, board-ready educators who embody the university's vision of excellence.
Setting the academic momentum, esteemed resource speakers Mr. Raidar M. Lasala and Mr. Jonathan B. Agullana initiated the discussions. They skillfully dove into the core topics, laying down a solid foundational review for the eager examinees.
But still, the ultimate highlight of the day was the highly anticipated visit of the "Ultimate Reviewer" himself, Dr. Carl E. Balita. Generous with his expertise, Dr. Balita shared everythingโdelivering a high-energy and intellectually rigorous series of lectures. His session went beyond mere content review, as he imparted his signature "Eagle Eye" techniques and mastery strategies that have helped thousands of teachers achieve their dreams.
The morning and afternoon sessions were filled with deep dives into professional education concepts, underscored by Dr. Balitaโs unique blend of humor, inspiration, and expertise. His enthusiastic delivery provided a warm and happy experience, proving that preparing for the board exam can be both professional and fun. The SNSU Gymnasium was filled with a palpable sense of "Quality, Integrity, and Results" energy as students actively participated in every segment of the lecture.
The event was graced by the presence of the university's esteemed faculty and administrators, including Ms. Ailyn B. Caba, the STAss Coordinator, whose leadership has been pivotal in bringing this program to life. The Field Study (FS) Advisers were also in full attendance, showing their steadfast guidance and support for the student-teachers.
Throughout the day, the proceedings were masterfully handled by the Emcee, Ms. Angelica J. Urot of BSEd - English, whose professional facilitation ensured a smooth and organized flow.
As Day 1 concludes with resounding success, the STAss and CBRC partnership continues to pave the way for academic excellence.
Congratulations to all participants for a highly productive start! To our future teachers: always remember the quote featured in today's programโ"Nothing is impossible. The word itself says 'I'm possible'."
