South Cotabato State College announces the extended enrollment schedule for incoming new students for selected academic programs.

📅 Enrollment Dates:
🗓 June 22–24, 2026
🗓 June 29–30, 2026
🗓 July 1, 2026

Applicants are encouraged to complete their enrollment requirements and take advantage of this extended schedule to secure their admission to SCSC.

📌 Important Reminders:
✅ Bring the complete set of enrollment requirements.
✅ Only 100 enrollees per day will be accommodated.
✅ Priority numbers will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis and may be claimed at the Guard House.
✅ Photocopy all original enrollment requirements for your personal file and bring both the original and photocopied documents for verification by the College Registrar.

This enrollment schedule applies to the following groups:

A. Pre-enrolled students.
B. Entrance examination takers who received a notice of passing the admission requirements, either under Regular Admission or Probationary Admission.
C. Entrance examination takers who did not receive a notice of passing but belong to any Equity Target Groups (ETGs), provided they can present the original copy of required supporting documents.

4. Students from Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA)-Certification from DILG or LGU
5. Solo Parent- DSWD-issued Solo Parent ID or Certification and photocopy of the child’s Birth Certificate
6. Child of a Solo Parent- DSWD Solo Parent ID or Certification and photocopy of Birth Certificate
7. Family of a Rebel Returnee- Certification from DSWD, AFP, or LGU handling reintegration programs
8. DSWD 4Ps Beneficiary- Certification from DSWD with Household ID Number
9. Working Student- Certification from employer or notarized affidavit (if self-employed/informal work)
10. Orphan- DSWD Certification and Death Certificate of parents or LGU Certification
11. Family of Subsistence Farmers or Fisherfolks- Certification from DA or BFAR, or BIR-certified ITR/Tax Exemption
12. Child of Person Deprived of Liberty (PDL)- Certification from BJMP or Bureau of Corrections and Birth Certificate (proof of relationship)

Simple nga mga words, pero bug-at nga istorya ang dala.
‎Sa likod sang malipayon nga tingog, may mga gab-i nga wala tulog, ‎mga luha nga ginpunggan samtang nagatan-aw sang reviewer, ‎kag mga pangamuyo nga “Lord, kaya ko pa ni?”
‎
‎Natapos man ang finals sang second semester.
‎Pero antes ko naabot ini nga punto,
‎nag-agi anay ako sa kakapoy nga daw indi matapos, mga pressure nga daw kada adlaw may kalaban, ‎kag sa kamingaw sa balay nga pirmi ko ginatago sa likod sang akon mga kadlaw.
‎
‎May mga adlaw nga gusto ko nalang magpahuway, ‎pero ginpadayon ko gihapon.
‎Bisan budlay, bisan kapoy, bisan daw gusto na sang lawas kag isip ko mag-untat nagpadayon ako.
‎
‎Kag subong, isa lang ka hambal ang pinakamasadya pamatian:

‎“Mapuli na'ko.”

‎Kay ang hambal nga “uli”

𝗛𝗕 𝟴𝟲𝟮𝟳 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻

A major milestone for higher education in the Province of South Cotabato was reached after House Bill No. 8627 was approved on third and final reading on May 5, 2026, at the House of Representatives. The bill seeks to convert South Cotabato State College into a state university to be known as the South Cotabato State University.

The proposed measure aims to elevate the institution’s status, enabling it to expand academic programs, strengthen research initiatives, and improve facilities and services for students across the province and neighboring areas. The conversion also includes the appropriation of funds necessary to support the transition from a college to a university.

According to the announcement, the principal author of the bill is Ferdinand L. Hernandez, Senior Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, who has been actively advocating for improved access to quality higher education in the province.

Located in the municipality of Surallah, within the province of South Cotabato, the institution has long served as a key center for learning for students from different municipalities. The anticipated university status is expected to bring broader opportunities for academic development, partnerships, and government support.

The approval on final reading marks a crucial step in the legislative process. Once enacted into law, the measure will officially pave the way for the transformation of the college into a state university, signaling a new chapter in the history of higher education in South Cotabato.

The official page of South Cotabato State College released a video announcement informing students that the UNIFAST TES (Tertiary Education Subsidy) and TDP (Tulong Dunong Program) scholarship grants are fast approaching.

The post, published on May 6, 2026, served as an early advisory for students to get ready for the upcoming release and processing of these scholarship benefits. However, no specific dates were indicated in the announcement, making the schedule tentative until further notice.

Students are encouraged to begin preparing the necessary requirements and to stay updated through the college’s official communication channels for the confirmed schedule and instructions regarding the scholarship distribution.

These grants, provided under the government’s educational assistance programs, aim to support qualified students in their academic expenses, making timely preparation essential once the official dates are announced.

As we wrap up this year's election, let us recap on what shaped the choices of SCSCians. Before the votes were cast, we went around campus and asked the students a simple question:
