The LYDO Lebak attended the Meeting and Planning for the Youth Entrepreneurship Program/HIGIT of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Negosyo Center Sultan Kudarat, thru Sir Franz Neil Matalubos, at the DTI Negosyo Center of Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat together with the LYDO Kalamansig, PESO Kalamansig, and Negosyo Center Lebak.

This proposed partnership will help Youth Entrepreneurs with the right skills, networks, and opportunities to level up their Businesses.

𝗕𝗘𝗬𝗢𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦: 𝗟𝗘𝗕𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗡𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗡 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗧.

Beyond the competitions, the Provincial-Wide Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 also gave us a chance to see the young leaders and visionaries from Lebak who are making their mark in spaces beyond our municipality.

One of them is 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗼, who served as a Resource Speaker for the PLNK AI and Data Science Workshop in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, sharing his knowledge and experience with fellow young people from across the province.

Mr. Escaro is a founding member of The Advocates of Good in the Philippines (TAGPINAS), a national youth organization founded and based in Lebak. He was also the Asia World Model United Nations Verbal Commendation Awardee in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Founding President of United Diplomats PH, and has represented the country in international platforms, including the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations, where he won 1st Place in the IMPACT Challenge – CLAV Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations, among other international commendations.

His story is a reminder that Lebakeno youth are not only competitors—they are speakers, leaders, advocates, and visionaries with ideas worth bringing to the table.

From our coastal town to Isulan and even to international platforms, our young people continue to show that there is so much talent, potential, and ambition growing right here in Lebak.

Kapag nabibigyan ng pagkakataon ang kabataan, lumalabas ang galing. At kapag sinamahan ng suporta, mas malayo pa ang mararating. 🌊🇵🇭

Proudly carrying the name of our coastal town, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗸 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀 during the 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹-𝗪𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 held on August 26, 2026, at the Sultan Kudarat Convention Center, Tacurong City. Lebak was declared 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁—a proud moment for everyone who continues to believe in what our young people can do.

𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙖 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙇𝙚𝙗𝙖𝙠 𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜. With the right opportunities, encouragement, and people who are willing to stand behind them, our youth can take their talent beyond our shores and make their hometown proud.

We sincerely thank 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗙. 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 for his continued support to the youth and to the many local talents of Lebak, as well as 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗲 𝗖. The Local Youth Development Office, represented by Mr. Jan-Jan M. Gaya, attended the Meeting of Local Youth Development Officers for GEMS for SK at the DILG Office in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat.

Our gratitude goes to PD Alex Nathan Garcia of DILG SK, and Sir Mahir Amba, PYDO SK, for the guidance and patience on behalf of the LYDOs in the province. More importantly, our great appreciation and regard go to Mayor Frederick F. Celestial for always supporting the endeavors and advocacies of the office for the youth.

𝗦𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗸𝗶𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝗯𝗽𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗴𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗻𝗮 𝗟𝗚𝗨-𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝟵𝟮-𝟴𝟰.

Nagmistulang malamig na sabaw ang sinapit ng Sutukil matapos wakasan ang dominasyon sa Finals Match kontra sa LGU-White. Pinangaralang kampeon ang naturang team sa ginanap na grand finals ng Mayor B**g White Open Basketball League, Agosto 18, 2026 sa Lebak Municipal Gym.

Nagsimula ang yugto sa unang puntos ni Phillip Carino at sinundan ng mala-apoy na opensa ng Sutukil na kalaunan ay nahabol ng LGU-White. Dama ang init ng mga players maging ang mga fans. Gitgitan ang naging atake ng dalawang team. Gayunpaman, ay nasungkit ng LGU ang lamang sa unang kwarter sa iskor na 20-19.

Sa pagpasok ng ikalawang yugto, pigil hininga ang bawat posesyon. Sumandal ang dalawang team sa kani-kanilang depensa kaya naging mahigpit ang labanan. Naghabol-habulan and mga puntos hanggang sa nakuha ng Sutukil ang kalamangan na iskor. Ngunit sa huling buzzer ng kwarter, bumida si Jan Gaya at itinabla ang iskor, 41-41.

Sa pagtungtong ng ikatlong yugto, nanguna sa kampanya si Ryan Bandoy matapos bumitaw ng tres. Naging krusyal ang bawat puntos na naitala ng bawat team. Dahan-dahang inakyat ng Sutukil ang laro hanggang sa tuluyang makamit muli ang lead. Subalit hindi natibag ang LGU at nilampaso ang naging kalamangan, 63-63.

Sa pagtatapos ng ikatlong kwarter ay inilabas sa laro si Ben Llyod Alberio na isa sa mga sandalang player ng Sutukil, na siyang nagtamo ng malaking epekto sa pagkawala ng naturang manlalaro para sa team.

Sa huling yugto, nasa LGU ang unang siklab matapos kumana ng 12-0 run. Sa huling 4 na minuto ng laban umarangkada ang mga player ng Sutukil sa pangunguna ng kanilang go-to-player na si Bandoy matapos mag lista ng 3 points. Sa huling 1 minuto ng laban, agad na nag si uwian ang fans matapos lumamang ng 7 puntos ang LGU.

Sa pagtunog ng huling buzzer, 92-84 ang naging pinal na iskor ng kompetisyon. LGU-White ang siyang pinarangalan na kampeon ng liga.

Itinanghal na Finals Most Valuable Player si Silongan. At ayon kay silongan, nakamit nila ang kampeon dahil sa kanilang tiwala sa isa't isa.

Naging dismayado naman ang kabilang team sa kanilang pagkatalo. "Dako jud kaayo kay wala mi sentro nga musafety sa among bola", ika ni Bandoy sa pagkawala ni Alberio sa laro.

Bunga ng kanilang dedikasyon, tiyaga, at determinasyon sa buong torneo, nagawa ng LGU White na patumbahin ang Sutukil Tibpuan at angkinin ang kampeonato. Sa kanilang matagumpay na laban, napatunayan nilang paghihirap at pagsisikap ay may katumbas na tagumpay.
