Aiming to strengthen islamic faith during the Ashrul Awakhir, nearly 2,000 participants from various areas gathered in Barangay Meta, Datu Unsay, Maguindanao del Sur, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, for the successful conduct of the 2nd Pangagi nu Ramadhan Islamic Symposium under Project Ramadhโ on March 17.
Organized by the United Bangsamoro Youth Volunteers, Inc. (UBYV) in partnership with the Shabaab Association for Language of Eternal Harmony (SALEH), Office of the MP Butch P. Malang, MDS Vice Governor Hisham Nando, and the Office of the MDS Governor Datu Ali Midtimbang, the event brought together members of the Bangsamoro community for a night of spiritual reflection, learning, and unity during the holy month of Ramadhan.
With the theme โBurning Sins, Reviving Imaan, Strengthening Imaan in the Month of Ramadhan,โ the symposium aimed to inspire participantsโespecially the youthโto strengthen their faith as the blessed month approaches its final days.
The program featured a Qurโan recitation by Alhafiz Almujaz Muzaher S. Bito, recognized as a Bangsamoro Qurโan International Champion, setting a solemn and spiritual tone for the gathering.
Meanwhile, invited speakers including Sheikh Jibreel Abi Huraira, Sheikh Abdulbasir A. Saleh, and Sheikh Morsid A. Dalanda delivered lectures focusing on youth empowerment, unity among Muslims, and the deeper lessons of fasting and Ramadhan in shaping a righteous life.
Following the lectures, participants also took part in a congregational Tahajjud prayer, fostering a deeper sense of devotion and connection with Allah during the sacred nights. According to youth organizers, the overwhelming turnout reflected the strong commitment of the Bangsamoro community to religious activities and spiritual growth.
The organizers also extended their gratitude to volunteers, young ulama, huffadh, and the residents of Barangay Meta and nearby areas for their support and participation.

The organization also recognized the contributions of the communityโfrom monetary support to food and voluntary effortsโwhich ensured the success of the program and highlighted the spirit of unity and cooperation in advancing daโwah.
