𝗦𝗞 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗮 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗙𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗘𝘀𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Bigbiga formally turned over two (2) 100-liter trash bins to San Francisco National High School during the school's Brigada Eskwela 2026 Launching Activity as part of the implementation of the BIN THERE, BIN EVERYWHERE Project under the GREENERation Movement of the Youth Project.

The donation reflects SK Bigbiga's commitment to ensuring that public resources are translated into tangible benefits for schools, learners, and the community. More than a simple turnover of trash bins, the initiative serves as an investment in environmental responsibility and a cleaner learning environment for students.

As stewards of public trust, SK Bigbiga continues to ensure that every peso is translated into programs and projects that create lasting impact, proving that when community resources are managed responsibly, the entire community benefits. ♻️

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗦.𝗜.𝗥.𝗜.𝗕. | 𝗣𝗥𝗘-𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗦

The Pre-Assessment Day of Project S.I.R.I.B. provided an important glimpse into the current academic strengths and learning gaps of our participating learners from our barangay.

Based on the assessment results, learners demonstrated strong potential in 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 (77.78%) and 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 (73.39%), reflecting their growing capabilities in logical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving. These results show that our young learners possess the ability to process ideas, recognize patterns, and understand concepts effectively.

Meanwhile, the assessment also highlighted areas that require further strengthening, particularly in 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (54.34%), 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 (60.69%), and 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 (61.44%). While learners are capable of understanding and analyzing information internally, many still experience challenges in communicating their thoughts clearly through written and verbal expression.

With an overall performance rating of 65.35%, the results serve not as a limitation, but as a starting point for growth, learning, and continuous improvement. Through Project S.I.R.I.B., the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Bigbiga remains committed to helping young learners strengthen their academic foundations, build confidence, and unlock their full potential.

Nakadalawang online meeting na tayo at isang in-person session for our 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗦.𝗜.𝗥.𝗜.𝗕., iSKwadmates! Malaking tulong ito para ma-evaluate natin ang performance ng mga children beneficiaries as well as our own performances during the Pre-Assessment Day!

So proud of this team! Most of them are volunteers willing to partake para sa ikauunlad ng bawat batang nangangailangan ng tamang gabay at suporta. This project may not be as grand or as loud as the other projects but we are beyond grateful for our LPTs & future LPTs na handang maging modern-day heroes para sa mga bata at para sa bayan.

𝗦𝗞 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗮 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 “𝗕𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘, 𝗕𝗜𝗡 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘” 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

As part of its continuing commitment to environmental sustainability, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Bigbiga successfully implemented the project “BIN THERE, BIN EVERYWHERE: Sustainable Waste Management for Sari-Sari Stores/Registered Food Stalls,” under the GREENERation Movement of the Youth Project.

The initiative aimed to promote responsible waste disposal and strengthen environmental awareness among local business owners through the distribution of 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝟭𝟬𝟬-𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗯𝗶𝗻𝘀 to selected registered sari-sari stores and food stalls in Barangay Bigbiga, Sudipen, La Union. Beneficiaries were accommodated on a first come, first served basis upon submission of the required business documents and subject to proper evaluation and final approval of SK Bigbiga.

A total of fifteen (15) trash bins amounting to Php 30,000.00 were procured from GEM Office Supplies and Equipment Trading. Out of the total allocation, ten (10) trash bins were distributed to registered store owners, namely: Merlyn Sari-Sari Store, Obille Sari-Sari Store, Kween’s Burger Stall, Bella’s Sari-Sari Store, Haydee Sari-Sari Store, Ken Ken’z Sari-Sari Store, Umaga Store, Elenore Mini Grocery, Camelle Sari-Sari Store, and Krizkenz Sari-Sari Store.

Meanwhile, five (5) additional trash bins were allocated to educational institutions, with two units donated to San Francisco National High School, two units to San Francisco Elementary School, and one unit to the Bigbiga Day Care Center.

Through this initiative, SK Bigbiga continues to encourage community participation in environmental protection and sustainable waste management practices. The project also highlights the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining a cleaner, greener, and more disciplined community for everyone.
