Sto. Nino Mangan-Vaca The official page of Sto. Niño de Mangan-Vaca, its organization (Samahang Sto. Niño) and its community. Niño. That person brought the Sto. The Sto.

The name of the barangay originated from the Ilocano words “Mangan” and “Vaca”. The first means “to eat” and the latter means “cow”. According to the folks of the barangay, their place was once a pasture for cow. There had been confusion regarding the barangay’s name for it has also another name – Manggahan. People called it Manggahan because there were lots of mango (mangga in Filipino) trees in

the area before the concrete road was built. During the registration of the barangay’s name, the inhabitants filed the name Mangan – Vaca, thus making it the official name of the barangay. The first known Barangay chairman is Edgardo Agoyaoy. Mangan – Vaca is very famous for their Feast of Sto. People from the community celebrate it every second or third week of January. There was no exact date when the celebration first started. It was said to be originated from a certain person devoted to Sto. Niño statue and had been round all over the barangay. The statue had stayed at every house of the residents for a week. After all the houses had been through, the statue of Sto. Niño was then placed to the church of Mangan – Vaca. Niño was thought to bring luck to the barangay. As an appreciation, the people living in Mangan – Vaca celebrated a feast for Sto.

Meanwhile, Pink Team also secured their championship title after an intense Game 3 battle against Black Team in the Marshalls Division, completing an epic finals showdown filled with passion, grit, and championship energy.
