LAMBAT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT | 𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗: 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻, 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 🕯️

Hope reaches beyond walls. Service recognizes the dignity in every person.

JCI Subic Lambat proudly co-hosted the second leg of LAMPSTAND: Life Within, Life Beyond, a joint initiative with JCI Olongapo held last June 13, 2026 at the Olongapo District Jail, bringing meaningful engagement, care, and hope to persons deprived of liberty.

Led by Project Chairman VP Marvin Dela Peña, the initiative brought together members of both Local Organizations in the shared belief that creating positive change means reaching communities that are often overlooked.

JCI Subic Lambat was represented by our active members EVP Reona Elicerio, Director Cyrus Joy Martinez, and Baby Jaycee Julier, who joined JCI Olongapo President Barbi, LSDD Von, Coach Jerico, and fellow volunteers in the implementation of the program.

The activity provided a holistic approach to well-being. Light Church, headed by PP Paul John Macadaan, facilitated a spiritual consultation and healing session focused on encouragement, guidance, and renewed hope. Dr. Jeuz Koz Geluz also provided medical checkups and consultations to help address the health concerns of participants.

Beyond these services, participants took part in a friendly chess competition, encouraging critical thinking, discipline, healthy recreation, and camaraderie. Two chess sets were donated to the facility, while hygiene kits were distributed to support personal care, dignity, and everyday well-being.

For JCI Subic Lambat, our participation in LAMPSTAND reflects an important principle of community service: circumstances may limit a person’s freedom, but they should never take away their dignity, their capacity to grow, or their hope for a better future.

Our appreciation to JCI Olongapo for giving JCI Subic Lambat the opportunity to be part of this meaningful initiative and to our active members who represented the chapter through their presence and service.

𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗙𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗥𝗦 | 𝗖𝗢𝗦𝗗𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🌏

Rights come with responsibilities. Leadership begins with understanding both.

In celebration of International Human Duties Day, JCI Subic Lambat proudly served as one of the co-hosting Local Organizations of COSDUTIES ONLINE 2026: Online Talks on International Human Duties, held virtually on July 10, 2026.

Led by JCI Antique Kruhay, in partnership with Antique CosCon 2026, the initiative gathered around 100 participants via Zoom, while reaching hundreds more through Facebook Live, bringing together JCI members from across the country for a meaningful conversation on the International Declaration of Human Duties.

The session featured Atty. Manfred Evanz Palcat, CPA, Executive Vice President of JCI Antique Kruhay, as Resource Speaker. Through a creative approach incorporating anime, superheroes, cosplay, gaming, and pop culture, the discussion explored how human dignity is strengthened not only by knowing our rights, but also by fulfilling our responsibilities to others and to society.

The program was also graced by Area Vice President for Visayas Atty. Vincent Von Nogra, who delivered the welcoming remarks, and Western Visayas Regional Vice President Richmond Mark Yanson, who delivered the closing remarks.

For JCI Subic Lambat, co-hosting this initiative reinforces our commitment to developing globally minded young leaders who understand that positive change requires both rights and responsibilities. Leadership means choosing integrity, compassion, solidarity, and service, even when no one is asking us to.

Our appreciation to JCI Antique Kruhay for bringing Local Organizations together in commemorating International Human Duties Day and for recognizing JCI Subic Lambat as one of its partner chapters.

𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗔𝗧 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗪𝗧𝗛 | Learning Business beyond 𝗝𝗖𝗜 📚💼

Congratulations to our 2026 Vice President for Internal Affairs, Mavin Gamboa, for participating in the Financial Education Stakeholders’ Congress (Fin-Ed Congress) 2025 organized by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas last November 17-18, 2025.

Representing the University of Santo Tomas as a delegate, VP Mavin joined professionals, students, government institutions, private organizations, development partners, and financial education advocates at BSP’s flagship financial education gathering.

With the theme “The Journey to Financial Success: Financial Learning That Connects, Transforms and Sustains,” the Congress featured conversations on money mindset, financial habits and personal barriers, practical financial tools and best practices, insurance and credit health, financial consumer protection, sustainable financial decision-making, and leadership in developing impactful and sustainable financial education programs.

Among the personalities and resource speakers featured during the Congress were BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona Jr., who emphasized the importance of helping Filipinos make better financial choices for their future, as well as Alden Richards, Isabelle Daza, and Iza Calzado, who joined discussions that brought personal and relatable perspectives to financial wellness and responsible money management.

The Congress also brought together leaders and representatives from institutions involved in financial inclusion and consumer education, including the Department of Information and Communications Technology, TransUnion Philippines, Credit Card Association of the Philippines, Securities and Exchange Commission, and other public and private sector partners.

For JCI Subic Lambat, opportunities like this remind us that leadership development should never be limited to JCI activities alone. Our members grow when they expose themselves to different industries, institutions, professions, and perspectives, then bring those lessons back to the organization and the communities we serve.

VP Mavin’s participation strengthens not only his own professional development, but also the knowledge and perspective he can contribute as a leader of JCI Subic Lambat.

JCI SUBIC LAMBAT proudly joined the online learning session “Governance Essentials: A Guide to the JCI Philippines Constitution and Policy Manual” held on August 4, 2026, via Zoom.

The session provided an insightful opportunity for JCI members to deepen their understanding of the JCI Philippines Constitution and Policy Manual and the governance principles that guide our organization.

Led by 2026 JCI Philippines General Legal Counsel, Atty. Ralph Martin Yu, the training highlighted the importance of understanding our policies, responsibilities, and organizational framework as we strive to become more effective and accountable leaders.

Hosted by JCI Iloilo Ilang Ilang and JCI CHICKS United, this learning session reminds us that strong organizations are built by members who understand, respect, and uphold the principles that guide them.

LAMBAT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT | Bags of Hope: Carrying Dreams, Sustaining the Future 🎒♻️

In celebration of JCI Sustainability Week, JCI Subic Lambat continued the implementation of Bags of Hope, bringing together two things we deeply believe in: giving children better opportunities and caring for the environment that will become their future.

Last August 26, 2026, our active members visited ASESA in Subic, Zambales, where we distributed our very own Sustainable Bags to School to 30 children.

These are not ordinary school bags. Each bag is made from recycled polyester produced from recycled plastic bottles, giving discarded materials a second purpose while providing something useful for a child’s education. It is a simple example of how community projects can address both social and environmental needs.

But the most meaningful part of the day was not the distribution itself.

We had the opportunity to sit with the children, listen to some of their stories, and hear about their hopes for the future. Behind every bag was a child with a different story, a different dream, and a future worth investing in.

Bags of Hope is not simply about giving school supplies. It is about reminding a child that someone believes in where their education can take them.

And as we continue this project, we hope to reach more children while demonstrating that service can also be responsible, sustainable, and intentional.

Thirty bags. Thirty young dreamers. Countless possibilities ahead. 💚

Because when we invest in a child’s education while protecting the world they will inherit, we truly .
