With the theme “Prepared to Possess the Promise” based on Book of Joshua 1:11, we learned how to be spiritually ready and step into the promises God has prepared for us.🤍

Rooted In Christ ❤️🌱

In the quiet moments of worship, the laughter in every gathering, and the strength built through camps and team building, we see God moving in the lives of the youth in JCKL Bagacay Gubat, Sorsogon.

This fellowship is more than just coming together; it is about growing deeper in faith, building Christ-centered friendships, and becoming firmly rooted in His Word. Every step, every activity, and every heart involved is for His glory alone.

Colossians 2:7,
“Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught.”

May this generation continue to rise, stand firm, and live boldly for Christ, remembering that everything we do is not for ourselves, but for God. 🙌✨

𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗣: Growing Deeper through Discipleship

“John 8:31 — If you abide in My word, you are truly My disciples.”

Life Group is not just a program, it is a lifestyle of true discipleship. It is a call to follow Jesus, leave our old ways, and remain in His Word daily. As we abide in Him, we are transformed to become more like Christ in our character, attitude, and actions.

Discipleship is also a commitment to love, loving others intentionally, caring for them, praying for them, and walking with them in their spiritual journey. It is through this love that the world will know we are His disciples.

A true disciple bears fruit, both in personal growth and in reaching others. Our lives should reflect lasting spiritual impact, pointing people to Christ. And as we grow, we are called to multiply, making and training more disciples, passing on what we have received.

This is the mission, to follow Jesus, become like Him, and help others do the same, for His glory.

Obedience over emotion😇

What if the very thing blocking your promised land…
isn’t your enemy, but your attitude?**

🪨 THE “HITTING THE ROCK” PRINCIPLE

How One Moment of Mismanaged Emotion Cost Moses His Promise

Moses led millions.
He parted seas.
He talked with God face-to-face.
He saw miracles, signs, wonders.

But in Numbers 20, something small—but massive—happened.

Israel complained.
Again.
Loudly.
Unfairly.
Annoyingly.

God told Moses:

“Speak to the rock and water will flow.”
— Numbers 20:8

But Moses…
frustrated, angry, exhausted…
struck the rock twice with his staff.

Water flowed—
but the consequences followed:

“Because you did not trust Me…
you will not bring this assembly into the land.”
— Numbers 20:12

Moses didn’t lose the Promised Land because he sinned “big.”
He lost it because he obeyed halfway.
He let emotion override instruction.
He performed the miracle…
but he missed the promise.

🌩️ ANALOGY — THE BROKEN GPS

Imagine your GPS saying:

“Turn right.”

But you’re stressed, tired, overwhelmed…
and you turn left instead.

You still reach some destination—
but not the one the GPS intended.

That’s Moses.

He still got water.
He still got results.
But he didn’t get destiny.

Because partial obedience still leads to the wrong destination.

📖 **THE SPIRITUAL LESSON —

THE DANGER OF DOING GOD’S WORK YOUR WAY**

1️⃣ God cares about method as much as outcome

“To obey is better than sacrifice.”
— 1 Samuel 15:22

Moses produced water…
but the miracle wasn’t the point.
Obedience was.

2️⃣ Miracles done in anger don’t impress God

You can “perform,” “serve,” or “lead” successfully
but still miss spiritual maturity.

3️⃣ Unmanaged frustration sabotages divine promotion

Moses wasn’t disqualified by the enemy—
he was disqualified by his reaction.

4️⃣ God transitions us from striking to speaking

The staff represented the old method—
power through force.
The command to speak represented spiritual maturity—
power through faith.

Most people stay stuck
because they keep using “striking” solutions
when God is calling them to “speaking” faith.

🧠 THE NERDY TAKEAWAY

Psychology calls this:
Emotional hijacking —
when stress overrides rational obedience.

Leadership science calls it:
Competency doesn’t compensate for character gaps.

Neuroscience calls it:
The amygdala override —
where emotion overwhelms instruction.

Heaven calls it:
Delayed destiny.

When emotions lead, accuracy dies.
When obedience leads, destiny lives.

Moses didn’t miss the Promised Land because he lacked power.
He missed it because he bypassed God’s process.

God isn’t just looking for leaders who can make water flow.
He’s looking for sons and daughters who can follow His voice
even when their emotions are screaming.

What if the very thing you think disqualified you… is exactly what God plans to use again?

How Samson Lost Everything… and Still Found His Way Back to God

⚔️ THE ANALOGY: SAMSON BEFORE & AFTER

BEFORE — The Strength That Became His Weakness

Samson was unstoppable.
He tore lions apart with his bare hands.
Carried city gates on his shoulders.
Defeated armies with a donkey’s jawbone.

But he had a problem:

Samson protected his strength more than he guarded his heart.
His hair was long…
but his discipline was short.
His muscles were powerful…
but his boundaries were weak.

He fell for Delilah’s trap.
He told the secret he should’ve kept sacred.
His hair was cut.
His strength left.
His eyes were gouged out.
His enemies mocked him.
He became a prisoner grinding grain like an animal.

Samson lost everything he once took for granted.

AFTER — The Comeback No One Saw Coming

But then something happened in the darkness…

His hair began to grow back.
Not just hair—hope.
Not just strength—his relationship with God.

Samson prayed for the first recorded time in years:

“Sovereign Lord, remember me.”
— Judges 16:28

In one final moment of repentance + surrender,
God restored his strength—
not because of his hair…
but because of his heart.

And the Bible says:

“He killed more enemies in his death than he had in his life.”
— Judges 16:30

Samson’s greatest victory came after his greatest failure.

Samson before = a man relying on gift
Samson after = a man relying on God

God allowed Samson to lose what he idolized
so he could rediscover the God he forgot.

His comeback started not when his hair grew…
but when his heart humbled.

Your failure is not final.
Your weakness is not the end.
Your mistakes do not cancel your calling.

If God restored Samson in chains,
He can restore you in whatever prison you feel trapped in.

Because:

God doesn’t anoint the perfect—He redeems the surrendered.

God will sometimes remove what you depend on
so He can rebuild what He wants to depend on in you.

• Before: Samson’s strength flowed from hair → symbol of calling

Gift can be taken.

But God restores both when humility returns.

Your hair (your calling) may have been cut…
but it can grow back.
