April 12, 2026 | SALDANG Support House actively participated in the recent Sorsogon Provincial AIDS Council meeting held via Zoom.

Representing the organization were the President and Treasurer, who presented key updates on SALDANG’s ongoing programs, community initiatives, and strategic plans aimed at strengthening HIV awareness, prevention, treatment adherence, psychosocial support, and stigma reduction across the Province of Sorsogon and the entire Bicol Region.

During the meeting, the organization highlighted its continuing efforts in community engagement, capacity-building activities, and collaboration with local government units, health institutions, partner organizations, and community stakeholders to strengthen the regional HIV response.

Among the future advocacy activities discussed were intensified HIV education campaigns, youth-centered awareness initiatives, community-based screening activities, treatment literacy programs, mental health and psychosocial support services for PLHIV, and expanded partnerships to reach more vulnerable and underserved communities throughout the region.

The participation of SALDANG Support House reaffirmed its commitment to becoming a strong and proactive community partner in advancing inclusive, compassionate, sustainable, and people-centered HIV response programs in the Province of Sorsogon and across the Bicol Region.
