Congratulations, Romy V. Omanito, Jr., on being named a finalist in the 59th Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) for Region II–Cagayan Valley!
True leadership is not measured by the position one holds, but by the lives one touches, the voices one chooses to hear, and the difference one strives to make. It is found in the courage to make difficult decisions, the humility to understand different perspectives, and the commitment to serve without seeking recognition.
As the former Executive Secretary of the HIRAYA Federation for Academic Year 2023–2024 and President of the SALIG Federation for Academic Year 2024–2025, during the respective terms of the Supreme Student Council (SSC), he embraced leadership as more than a position of responsibility-it was an opportunity to listen, represent, and serve the ACI community where every voice matters. Through the challenges of student leadership, he learned that meaningful service requires empathy, integrity, accountability, and the courage to make difficult decisions for the greater good. His dedication is further reflected in his recognition for Excellence in Extracurricular Leadership, honoring his commitment to making a difference beyond the classroom.
A Cum Laude graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English, he also earned the distinguished title of Praeses Primus Honores for the Class of 2026. He embodies the belief that excellence becomes more meaningful when it is used to uplift others. Now among the finalists of the 59th Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) for Region II–Cagayan Valley, his journey reflects a commitment to learning, leadership, and service that reaches far beyond personal achievement.
As he carries the name of Aldersgate College Inc. to the regional stage, may his journey serve as a reminder that the true impact of leadership lies not in the titles one earns, but in the lives, one inspires and the positive change one leaves behind. His story stands as a testament to the power of leading with integrity, serving with compassion, and choosing to make a difference even in the simplest ways.
