ACCESS Unit Conducts First Coordinators’ Orientation and Workshop on Building Education and Partnership

With the theme “Cultivating Empowerment: Nurturing Minds for Sustainable Community Impact,” the ACCESS Unit successfully held its first Coordinators’ Orientation and Workshop, aimed at strengthening the capacity of faculty extension coordinators and student leaders in crafting impactful, sustainable programs.
The orientation opened with an overview of ACCESS services by the Director, followed by an inspiring message from Incoming President Rev. Eduardo B. Copliting, Jr., Ph.D., who underscored the institutional commitment to focused community service and best practices in extension work.
Key discussions were led by the OIC-VPRDE Kristian Cesar Ollier, LPT, MBA, who presented on the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Cagayan Valley Development Framework, and the Statistical Survey Review and Clearance System (SSRCS) under RA 10625, emphasizing the necessity of proper survey clearances.
Workshop Highlights:
• Annual Work and Financial Plan (AWFP) Development
• Activity Design & Implementation
• Canva Design & Visual Content Creation – facilitated by Mr. Adriel Baguio, who pledged to provide customized templates
• Publication Posting & Caption Writing – led by Ms. Jasmin Espenocilla, who shared tips on writing engaging captions.
The ACESS Director, Prosperita Marites A. Matterig, introduced updated policies on budget requisition and liquidation in the afternoon session, and clarified the responsibilities of coordinators and student leaders in implementing extension initiatives.
The event concluded with an open forum and a reminder for all departments to submit their AWFPs by September 8, 2025.
