Vacation Church School 2026

Organized by the dedicated students of the ABA Cluster of the Aldersgate College Community Extension and Social Services - ACCESS, this meaningful outreach program was successfully held on May 15–16, 2026, at Bagahabag, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.

Our kindergarten participants experienced two days filled with joy, learning, and creativity through Bible storytelling, coloring activities, and clay play sessions!

The success of this event was made possible through the collective efforts and support of the Barangay Bagahabag officers, ABA-ACCESS officers, ACI-JPIA officers, ACI-JCF officers, ACI-JMA officers, and CC-CBMA officers, whose dedication helped bring love, faith, and happiness to the community. 💛

VACATION CHURCH SCHOOL 2026.

The Accountancy and Business Administration - Aldersgate College Community Extension and Social Services (ABA-ACCESS) Officers took the lead as the primary organizers of the Vacation Church School (VCS), marking a triumphant Day 1 in Barangay Bagahabag. Driven by a mission to blend academic leadership with spiritual service, the officers spearheaded the planning and ex*****on of the program. Under their dedicated guidance, the opening day successfully introduced the theme, "We Are God’s Family," setting a strong foundation for the days of learning and fellowship to follow.

The atmosphere in the partner barangay was one of pure joy and high engagement as children participated in a series of well-coordinated sessions. From spirited worship songs to interactive storytelling and creative workshops, every activity was designed to instill a sense of belonging and divine love. The ABA-ACCESS Officers ensured that the transition between sessions was seamless, creating a safe and vibrant space where the youth of Bagahabag could explore their faith while building lasting bonds with their peers and mentors.

This initiative serves as a testament to the officers' profound commitment to community service and holistic social development. By stepping beyond the classroom and into the heart of the community, the team demonstrated that leadership is most impactful when it is rooted in service. As Day 1 concludes with overwhelming success, the ABA-ACCESS organizers remain dedicated to fostering spiritual growth and leaving a positive, lasting imprint on the lives of the children in their partner community.

WE ARE GOD’S FAMILY: Equipping Facilitators for VCS 2026

"We are gathered today not just to prepare for an activity, but to take part in a mission."

Aldersgate College, Inc., through the ACCESS (AC Community Extension and Social Services) Unit, successfully conducted the Preparatory Seminar-Workshop for our upcoming Vacation Church School (VCS).

The morning session opened with a heartfelt welcome from our ACCESS Director, Prosperita Marites A. Matterig. In her remarks, she emphasized that this year’s theme, “We Are God’s Family,” serves as a reminder that VCS is more than teaching—it is about building relationships, nurturing faith, and creating a sense of belonging in our partner communities.

“To our trainees, you are instruments of God’s love,” Director Matterig shared. “As you go to your partner communities, you carry with you the responsibility to inspire, to guide, and to show compassion—just as Christ has taught us.”

Expert Guidance & Specialized Training The whole-day activity ensured that our coordinators and student-teachers are fully equipped for the field:
Unified Plenary (Morning): Participants gathered as one to align their spirits and hearts for the mission.
Break-out Sessions (Afternoon): Intensive workshops were conducted for each of the four (4) specialized lesson categories.

We were honored to have resource speakers who are proud graduates of our Bachelor of Science in Church Management (ABCM) program. The entire activity was spearheaded by our Tertiary Guidance Designate, DSS Jenny Jane Corpuz who is also one of the lead authors of the VCS modules, providing our facilitators with direct, expert insights into the curriculum.
As our facilitators prepare to depart for their respective partner communities, we move forward as one family—sharing love, faith, and hope.

Aldersgate College Inc. (ACI) has once again demonstrated its growing influence in global higher education innovation, earning multiple distinctions in the World’s Universities with Real Impact (WURI) 2026 Rankings. These achievements affirm ACI’s strategic direction toward transformative education, applied research, and community-responsive initiatives.

In the WURI 2026 Global Top 500 Innovative Universities, ACI secured a position within the 351–400 bracket, ranking 379th worldwide. This placement underscores the institution’s sustained commitment to innovation-driven academic frameworks and its capacity to translate knowledge into measurable societal impact.

Further elevating its standing, ACI achieved remarkable placements in two specialized WURI categories:

Student Support and Engagement (A1): Top 100

ACI ranked 31st globally under the Student Support and Engagement category through its flagship initiative, Project Feliann: AI-Powered Research Ecosystem for Student Success and Service Efficiency. Spearheaded by Tyrone Marcial V. Lopez, the project integrates artificial intelligence into institutional research systems to streamline student services, enhance academic support mechanisms, and improve research productivity.

Project Feliann exemplifies a forward-looking approach to higher education by embedding AI-driven solutions into student engagement processes. It facilitates data-informed decision-making, personalized academic assistance, and efficient service delivery—positioning ACI at the forefront of digital transformation in education.

Entrepreneurial Culture & Ecosystem (A4): Top 100

ACI also secured the 28th spot globally in the Entrepreneurial Culture & Ecosystem category through The Bridge Youth Consumers Cooperative (BYCC): Student-Led Cooperative Governance and Entrepreneurial Ecosystem. The initiative, authored by Kristian Cesar C. Ollier and championed by May Ghan S. Dulig, highlights a dynamic model of student empowerment through cooperative enterprise.

The BYCC initiative fosters experiential learning by enabling students to engage directly in cooperative governance, business operations, and entrepreneurial decision-making. It serves as a living laboratory where theoretical knowledge is operationalized into real-world enterprise practices, cultivating leadership, innovation, and sustainable economic participation among students.

These recognitions collectively reinforce ACI’s positioning as an emerging leader in outcomes-based education and innovation ecosystems. Participation in the WURI Conference and rankings reflects the institution’s alignment with global benchmarks that prioritize real-world impact over traditional academic metrics.

The convergence of AI-enabled systems such as Project Feliann and community-driven models like BYCC illustrates ACI’s holistic approach to institutional development—balancing technological advancement with socio-economic engagement. Aldersgate College President Rev. Eduardo B. Copliting, Jr. and Quezon Mayor Hon. Annabelle Mae Binwag Seal Strategic Community Partnership

Today, Rev. Eduardo B. Copliting, Jr., President of Aldersgate College, Inc. (ACI), and Hon. Annabelle Mae Binwag, Municipal Mayor of Quezon, officially sealed a landmark institutional partnership through a formal Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing. This definitive milestone in the history of both ACI and the Municipality of Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya, marks the beginning of a robust collaboration dedicated to grassroots transformation.

A Visionary Initiative This institutional partnership was catalyzed by the strategic initiative of Rev. Eduardo B. Copliting, Jr., who assumed the ACI Presidency on September 15, 2025. Recognizing the immense potential for synergy between the academe and local governance, President Copliting prioritized Quezon as a premier institutional partner, envisioning a "Resource-Sharing Model" that leverages ACI’s multidisciplinary expertise to support municipal development goals.

Deep-Rooted Community Engagement The success of this two-month deliberation and legislative process was steered by the Director of ACCESS, Prosperita Marites Matterig. While her term as Director commenced in June 2025, Director Matterig brings with her over 15 years of dedicated community engagement within the Municipality of Quezon. This "Speed of Trust"—the ability to move from deliberation to a signed resolution in record time—is a direct result of her long-standing immersion and authentic solidarity with the Quezonian people.

A Holistic Service Framework Representing the institution’s commitment to high-impact service were the Vice President for Research, Development, and Entrepreneurship (VPRDE) Mr. Kristian Cesar C. Ollier, the ACCESS Director, and our technical extension staff. Through this agreement, ACI will deploy a comprehensive suite of services drawn directly from the unique expertise of our diverse academic departments.

By integrating the specialized knowledge of the School of Medical Sciences, CBMA (Accountancy, Business Administration, Hospitality and Tourism Management), CASE-IT (Arts, Sciences, Education and Information Technology), Criminology, Engineering, and Graduate School, we are launching a multidisciplinary intervention designed to uplift the child, the family, and the entire community to which they belong.

A Commitment to Quality Guided by ISO 21001:2018 standards, this partnership ensures that every intervention is research-based, data-driven, and community-led. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Sangguniang Bayan and Mayor Binwag for their unwavering trust in the Aldersgate College mission.

COMMITTEE MEETING BETWEEN ACI AND LGU QUEZON

Aldersgate College, Inc. (ACI) successfully conducted a committee meeting with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Quezon on March 10, 2026, at the Sangguniang Bayan Hall. The activity strengthened the partnership between ACI and LGU Quezon, with the proposed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) receiving full support from the committee members. It was also recommended to establish separate MOAs with identified priority barangays to enhance community engagement and ensure localized implementation.

The ACCESS Director further emphasized the importance of maintaining holistic community extension programs that consider the child, family, and community, while clearly identifying target beneficiaries to achieve sustainable impact.

The meeting served as a vital platform for ACI and the Local Government Unit of Quezon to align their goals, discuss ongoing and proposed initiatives, and strengthen coordination in the implementation of extension and community-based programs. Key discussions focused on enhancing the effectiveness of existing projects, identifying priorities for partner communities, and exploring innovative strategies to ensure sustainable and inclusive development.

Through this engagement, ACI and LGU Quezon reaffirm their shared commitment to promoting community empowerment, capacity-building, and long-term development. This initiative reflects a unified vision of creating meaningful change through cooperation, service, and good governance.

Together, ACI and LGU Quezon continue to build bridges that transform ideas into action and commitments into lasting impact.
