𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐮𝐩, 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍! This time, culture meets the spotlight, and Kingfishers are here to make the most of it!

𝐋𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐠!

As Southern Leyte State University assumes its role as one of the many educational institutions partnered with several others under ASEAN, it is proud to mark the occasion by celebrating Southeast Asian unity, culture, and shared purpose—culminating in a day of show and celebration.

Loaded with a variety of activities designed to test your knowledge, wow your eyes, and steal your breath, this event pulls together students, faculty, and staff for a vibrant morning where trivia meets fashion meets full-out talent, with the theme: “𝙎𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙖𝙞𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙎𝙀𝘼𝙉 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝙉𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚, 𝙏𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧.”

Bringing this ASEAN Month Culmination to life are the SLSU Supreme Student Council, the GESPO (Global Engagement and Strategic Partnerships Office), the ACGH Office (Arts, Culture, and Global Heritage), and the SLSU KF21 Ambassadors.

Mabuhay ASEAN! Let us go even further beyond and navigate a future of unity, together.

Today, we remember and pay respects to our heroes who gave their lives for the freedom we enjoy.

We live under the flag of our motherland and call ourselves Filipinos from the actions of the great men and women who wanted real freedom to be grasped by our country and people.

May we honor them not just with words, but through actions as well.

A fulfilling day with the KF21 Ambassadors, assisting with the Welcome Program and courtesy visit of EdD international students from Vietnam as the technical and documentation team. This was on August 18, 2026 at the Mini Theater.

Later that same day, another group of KFs joined the Kingfisher Sessions, where students who took part in the Indonesia cultural exchange shared stories and experiences.
