๐—™๐—”๐—–๐—ง๐—ฆ | Did you know that the Rotaract Club of Southern Leyte State University (RACSLSU) was officially recognized as a club under Rotary International on March 27, 2024, and was formally inaugurated on April 22, 2024, at the Southern Leyte State University โ€“ Sogod Campus, Plenary Hall?

Our story began through the initiative of Dr. Jude A. Duarte, the University President of SLSU. With a clear vision of empowering student leadership across campuses, he helped bring together student leaders from both main and external campuses to form a unified Rotaract movement. This momentum was strengthened through a Basic Orientation Seminar (BOS) facilitated by the Rotaract Club of Tacloban, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Tacloban, which formally introduced the students to the ideals of the core Rotary motto โ€œService Above Self.โ€

From that orientation emerged a group of committed young leaders who became the inaugural members of the Rotary Year themed โ€œCreate Hope in the World.โ€ Leading them was Justine Resus Balbon, then Supreme Student Council President of SLSU Tomas Oppus, who served as the clubโ€™s first president, guided and supported by adviser Dr. Sybill Krizzia G. Ledesma.

What started as an initiative soon grew into a movement, one built on leadership, service, and the shared goal of making a meaningful difference, within our university and beyond.

๐—”๐—ก๐—ก๐—ข๐—จ๐—ก๐—–๐—˜๐— ๐—˜๐—ก๐—ง | We respectfully inform our community that this is the official new page of the Rotaract Club of SLSU. Our previous page was recently suspended by Meta due to unspecified reasons, which has been a challenging experience for our organization.

In light of this situation, we have created this new page to continue our mission of service and engagement. We humbly ask for your understanding and support as we rebuild our online presence and reconnect with our audience. Through this platform, we remain committed to sharing our upcoming projects, initiatives, and community efforts.
