MUNICIPAL YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING - WORKSHOP DAY 2!

We kicked off Day 2 with our emcees, Myne Elaine Mayo and Joshua Bautista from Alejandro F. Oligan National High School, who set a vibrant tone for the day. Our first speaker, Sir Jorge Garoy, captivated us with his insights on "Creative Leadership & Innovative Management." His key message emphasized that true leadership is about making a meaningful impact and inspiring others.

Next, Joy R. Mendoza took the stage to address "Political Literacy as Information Literacy," reminding us that "A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way."

We concluded the day with an important orientation led by Sir Edelito Chan on the "Child Protection Policy" under DepEd Order 40 S. 2012, reinforcing our commitment to safeguarding our youth.

The excitement didn’t stop there! We enjoyed engaging competitions like tug-of-war, cup stacking and paper tower with participation from 13 schools! 🏆

A heartfelt thank you to Leezas Restaurant for providing snacks and to LGU Sison specially to Mayor Danny C. Uy and Ma'am Myrna Uy for the delicious lunch!

On September 21, 2024, Student Leaders and Teachers from 15 schools gathered at Sison Central Integrated School for a transformative 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 - 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽. The event began with a heartfelt rendition of the national anthem, followed by hymns and prayers through an audio-visual presentation.

𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐊. 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬, SCIS SHS Principal Assistant II, set the tone with a powerful quote from Margaret Thatcher: “𝑰𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆𝒅, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈.” 𝐃𝐫. 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐨 𝐁. 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐨, SCIS Principal IV, welcomed everyone and shared the acronym of SCIS: Sincerity, Commitment, Integrity, and Service-Oriented.

Participants were introduced by 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐃. 𝐉𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐳𝐚 and 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐀. 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚, with each school showcasing their spirit through unique yells. 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐆𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐁. 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐥 shared inspiring messages, and the keynote speaker, 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐲 𝐂. 𝐔𝐲, represented by his wife 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐌𝐲𝐫𝐧𝐚 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐔𝐲, delivered an impactful speech and generously contributed to the program’s expenses.

Special thanks to 𝗟𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗮'𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 for the delicious snacks! The day was filled with valuable insights from our four speakers, leaving everyone motivated and ready to lead. The eight speakers taught us that good leadership is about sincerity, commitment, integrity, and service. Being a leader improves communication skills, inspires others, and positively impacts the community. Volunteering can be challenging but brings happiness and personal growth.
