The PNP Women and Children Protection Center proudly supports the launch of Huwag Magsikreto, a childrenโ€™s book developed by My Children House of Hope to help children understand personal safety, recognize inappropriate behaviors, and encourage them to speak to trusted adults when something is wrong.

More than just a storybook, Huwag Magsikreto is a valuable child protection tool that empowers children, equips parents and caregivers, and strengthens our collective effort to prevent child abuse.

๐Ÿ“– We invite everyoneโ€”parents, teachers, caregivers, and child advocatesโ€”to scan the QR code and access the book for free. Share it with your family, school, and community because one conversation can help protect a child.

Together with My Children House of Hope and our child protection partners, the PNP-WCPC remains committed to building a safer future where every child is heard, protected, and empowered.

The Women's and Children's Protection Desk (WCPD) of Siquijor Police Station strongly condemns the tragic school shooting incident in Tacloban City involving minors, which resulted in the loss of young lives and left families, classmates, and communities grieving.

Schools are places of learning, growth, and safety. Violence has no place in our educational institutions. This heartbreaking incident reminds us of the importance of fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and non-violence among our youth.
We urge parents, teachers, community leaders, and students to work together in identifying and addressing the root causes of violence, including bullying, social isolation, mental and emotional distress, and other factors that may place children at risk. Early intervention, open communication, and strong support systems are essential in protecting our children and preventing similar tragedies.

The WCPD encourages students who are experiencing bullying, threats, harassment, or emotional difficulties to seek help from trusted adults, school authorities, social workers, or law enforcement. Speaking up can save lives.

As we mourn with the victims and their families, we reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding the welfare of every child and promoting peaceful conflict resolution, respect for human dignity, and a safe environment where children can learn and thrive.

"Stop Bullying. Choose Kindness. Protect Every Child."

In observance of the 2026 World Day Against Child Labour (WDACL), with the global theme โ€œRed Card to Child Labour: Fair Play for Children, Decent Work for Adultsโ€ and the national theme โ€œIkaw, Ako, Tayo; Sama-samang Pagkilos para sa Batang Malaya,โ€ the Siquijor Police Station, under the leadership of Acting Chief of Police PCAPT JASON C TOMPONG, officially launched its series of activities on June 12, 2026.
The activity aims to strengthen awareness and advocacy efforts against child labor by promoting the protection of children's rights, ensuring their access to education, and preventing their involvement in hazardous and exploitative forms of work. The launching highlighted the importance of collective responsibility among law enforcement agencies, government offices, community stakeholders, parents, and other partner organizations in creating a safe and child-friendly environment where every child can grow, learn, and enjoy their childhood free from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
As part of the campaign, personnel of Siquijor Police Station conducted information dissemination activities, strengthened coordination with stakeholders, and encouraged community participation in identifying and reporting cases involving child labor and other forms of child abuse. These initiatives reflect the commitment of the Philippine National Police, particularly the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD), to uphold the welfare, dignity, and rights of children and to support government programs aimed at achieving a child-labor-free community.
Through this observance, Siquijor Police Station continues to advocate for a future where children are given the opportunity to study, play, and develop their full potential while adults are provided with opportunities for decent and lawful employment.
