Grace and Grit: The Ronquillo Twinsโ€™ Journey to Scouting Excellence ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

As they reach the milestone of graduating from Grade 12, Merry Joy Ronquillo and Merry Ann Ronquillo stand with prideโ€”not only as students, but as exemplary Senior Girl Scouts of Siniloan Integrated National High School. Hailing from Pangil, Laguna, the twins have become symbols of dedication, leadership, and service in their school and community.

Their journey is one defined by contrast and harmony. Different in character, yet guided by the same heart, Merry Joy and Merry Ann have shown that leadership comes in many formsโ€”and that true impact lies in authenticity.

Merry Joy, known for her soft and gentle nature, leads with compassion. She is thoughtful in her words and actions, always choosing kindness and understanding. Her quiet strength has earned her the prestigious Chief Girl Scout Award, a recognition given to those who exemplify the highest ideals of Girl Scouting. Through her calm presence, she has inspired others to lead with empathy and sincerity.

Merry Ann, on the other hand, is adventurous and bold. She thrives in challenges, always ready to explore, take risks, and push beyond limits. Her dynamic leadership and courage have led her to achieve the Eagle Scout Award, a testament to her dedication, resilience, and active spirit in scouting. She encourages others to step out of their comfort zones and embrace growth through experience.

Though they walk in different styles, the twins share a common purposeโ€”to serve and uplift others. Their complementary strengths create a powerful balance: one brings calm and care, the other brings energy and courage. Together, they have contributed to numerous scouting and community initiatives, leaving a lasting impact on those around them.

Their achievements are not just personal milestones but reflections of years of hard work, discipline, and commitment to the values of scouting. As role models, they have guided younger scouts, showing that leadership is not about being the same, but about working together with respect and shared vision.

As they prepare to step into a new chapter beyond high school, Merry Joy and Merry Ann carry with them the lessons of sisterhood, service, and perseverance. Their story is a reminder that even with different paths, hearts aligned in purpose can create something truly meaningful.

In every step they take forward, the Ronquillo twins remain unitedโ€”not just by family, but by a shared passion to lead, to serve, and to inspire.

Congratulations, Kambal!

The activity aimed to strengthen disaster preparedness and raise awareness about fire safety among students, teachers, and school personnel.

The drill was spearheaded by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Siniloan Fire Station in coordination with the Senior Scouts of Siniloan Integrated National High School. The initiative highlighted the importance of quick response, discipline, and cooperation during emergency situations.

National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) Conducted at Siniloan Integrated National High School

Siniloan, Laguna โ€” March 12, 2026

At exactly 3:00 PM on March 12, 2026, Siniloan Integrated National High School conducted a school-wide Earthquake Drill aimed at strengthening disaster preparedness and ensuring the safety of all students, teachers, and personnel.

The activity was spearheaded by Dr. Kristine P. Perez, Principal III/School Head & Mr. Ronald Alidio, Head Teacher and School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) Coordinator, who supervised the proper implementation of safety protocols throughout the drill. The exercise guided students and staff on the correct response during an earthquake, particularly the โ€œDrop, Cover, and Holdโ€ procedure followed by an organized evacuation to designated safe areas.

Selected Senior Scouts of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines played a significant role during the drill. Under the guidance of Mr. Misael Ramos, Outfit Advisor of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, the trained scouts assisted teachers and school personnel in managing the evacuation of students and maintaining order during the activity.

These scouts, who previously underwent training in emergency response, first aid, and disaster preparedness, helped guide students to safe assembly points and provided assistance to those involved in simulated emergency scenarios.

The successful conduct of the earthquake drill demonstrated the schoolโ€™s commitment to promoting safety awareness, preparedness, and discipline among its learners. Through collaborative efforts between school officials, trained scouts, and faculty members, the drill served as an important reminder that preparedness and teamwork are essential in responding effectively to emergencies.

Through initiatives like this, Siniloan Integrated National High School continues to build a culture of readiness and resilience within the school community

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL VENTURER SCOUTS! โšœ๏ธ๐Ÿ•๏ธ

The successful conduct of the Venturer Scout Camp 2026 held at Labangan Elementary School and spearheaded by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Laguna Council marks a significant milestone in the continuous development of our young scouts.

Throughout the duration of the camp, the Venturer Scouts actively engaged in various activities that promoted leadership, teamwork, survival skills, discipline, and community service.

The program highlighted the importance of preparedness, cooperation, and service, which are essential values taught in scouting. Through different training sessions and outdoor activities, the scouts were able to enhance their understanding of survival techniques, emergency response, and leadership responsibilities.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Kristine P. Perez, Principal III, for her unwavering support and encouragement toward youth development and scouting initiatives. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our former Assistant Principal, Geron Serrano, for his continued support and guidance.

Likewise, we are grateful to the local government officials of Siniloan, Laguna for their invaluable support in promoting programs that empower the youth: Councilor C-an Puรฑo, Vice Mayor Joseph Masacupan, Mayor Patrick Go, and the honorable members of the municipal council. Your commitment to youth programs greatly contributes to the formation of responsible and capable future leaders.

Our sincere appreciation is also extended to Jonathan Serrano for generously assisting with the transportation of our scouts last CLTC. Your support has been an important part of making this activity possible and ensuring the safe participation of the scouts.

To the parents and guardians, we extend our deepest gratitude for your trust and support. Allowing your children to participate in this camp reflects your confidence in the values and purpose of scouting in shaping responsible, disciplined, and service-oriented individuals.

We also recognize the dedicated efforts of our facilitators who shared their knowledge and experience with the scouts:

Venturer Scout Merry Ann Ronquillo,
Eagle Scout Marichu Manzano,
Eagle Scout Realijean Alcantara, and
Venturer Scout CA Realeza

Your dedication and passion in mentoring the scouts helped enrich their learning experience and inspired them to uphold the highest ideals of scouting.

Furthermore, we commend the commitment and leadership of our Outfit Advisors: Misael Ramos, Danica Ramos, and Rod Leopando. Your guidance, patience, and dedication have played a vital role in mentoring and shaping these young scouts into responsible individuals and future leaders.

Indeed, scouting is not merely about outdoor adventuresโ€”it is about building character, strengthening discipline, developing leadership, and cultivating the spirit of service to others. The lessons learned during this camp will remain with the scouts as they continue their journey in life, carrying with them the values of integrity, courage, and responsibility.

Once again, congratulations to all the Venturer Scouts, leaders, and supporters who made the Venturer Scout Camp 2026 a meaningful and successful event.
