Play, connect, and thrive. 🏸🏓

On May 29, Kanlong Scholars enjoyed an active day of pickleball and badminton, made possible by Coach Twinky Mesina, Coach Virgilio Benigno Capulong, Coach Roy Ronick Villaluz, and students from Lyceum Central Student Government in partnership with the Community Outreach and Service-Learning Office through their outreach activity, EMBRACE: Encouraging Meaningful Bonds, Respect, Acceptance, Care, and Empowerment.

Beyond learning new sports, the activity fostered friendship, inclusion, confidence, and meaningful connections—proving that every game can be an opportunity to grow. ✨

From May 20–22, professionals from Consuelo Zobel Alger Foundation, Kanlong Foundation, , and partners came together to enhance the Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) modules for teachers.

Because teachers are at the heart of Trauma-Informed Care, equipping them with the right knowledge, skills, and compassion is key to creating safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environments for every learner.

“Purpose meets passion when young leaders choose to give back.” ✨

On May 12, organization members and advisers from the Union of Young Marketers (UYM), MYHERO, and Community Outreach and Service Learning of Lyceum of the Philippines University Cavite visited the Kanlong Office to turn over the proceeds of their Activity-for-a-Cause Bazaar. Inspiring stories were shared on how their seminar, bazaar, and summit empowered young entrepreneurs to become future-ready leaders with hearts for service. Thank you for your generosity and for making a meaningful impact on the Kanlong family.

Last May 13 was filled with laughter and excitement—from the thrilling pabitin, to making our own refreshing halo-halo, and ending with fun water games and splashes all around. Truly a day of joy, teamwork, and beating the summer heat!

On April 30, JAE Philippines, Inc. brought joy and purpose to our learners through Bloom & Reuse: Earth Day Recycling, Crafting, and Feeding Program.

Students transformed simple egg trays into vibrant flowers—proving that creativity can turn the ordinary into something beautiful while caring for our planet. The day ended with smiles and shared meals, filling both hearts and tummies.

Our hearts overflow with gratitude for the invitation to the Summer Concert of Chosen Children Village and for the beautiful opportunity to share and sell the baked creations of Kanlong students and parents last April 25.

Moments like these remind us that when a community comes together, we create more than products—we create opportunities, confidence, and brighter futures for our learners.

It was a day filled with colors, connection, and love! 💛

JCI Silang Cattleya successfully hosted *“Kanlong Kalinga’t Kulay: Championing Mental Health, Inclusivity, and Development”*—a meaningful event that brought together our Kanlong community.

Parents of our Kanlong Scholars joined the heartfelt mental health talk, *“You Are Not Alone: Practical Guidance and Emotional Support for Parents Raising Differently-Abled Children,” while our students expressed themselves through a fun and engaging art activity session. 🎨

Thank you to our amazing facilitators—Maylene Hernandez-Ocampo, Ma. Kimuel Naval, OTRP, and Pamela Marquina, MD—for sharing your time, expertise, and compassion.

And of course, our deepest gratitude to JCI Silang Cattleya for making this initiative possible.

Nutriprep: Hope on every plate! 🍽️💛
