In celebration of Halloween, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Poblacion Sur and the Poblacion Sur Youth Organization launched a creative and spine-chilling event that caught everyone’s attention, the Spooky Paper Bag Challenge 2025!

The challenge was not just about art, but also about bringing the community together in the spirit of fun, imagination, and youthful energy. The streets of Poblacion Sur lit up with laughter, excitement, and a touch of fright as residents paraded their spooky paper bag creations, proving that even simple materials can spark big creativity.

This Halloween special truly embodied the essence of “spooky but sustainable”, reminding everyone that creativity and community spirit can turn even the simplest traditions into meaningful memories.

Bilang kabahin sang ila padayon nga paningwa nga makilala kag masabtan ang kahimtangan sang pamatan-on sa barangay, ang 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐫 nagpahigayon sang survey para sa mga 𝐎𝐮𝐭-𝐨𝐟-𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 (𝐎𝐒𝐘). Ang sini nga aktibidad may tuyo nga makatigayon sang husto nga datos agud mangin basehan sang mga palaabuton nga programa kag proyekto nga nagatuyo magbulig sa mga pamatan-on nga wala nakapadayon sa eskwelahan.

Ang survey ginpatigayon paagi sa house-to-house kag personal nga pagpangusisa agud masiguro ang paglahutay kag katutum sang nakalap nga impormasyon. Nakigbinuligay man ang SK sa mga opisyal sang barangay agud mahibaluan ang mga rason sang pagkaundang sa pag-eskwela, kaangay sang problema sa pinansya, kabudlay sa pamilya, ukon kakulang sang suporta sa edukasyon.

Padayon nga nagapanikasog ang Sangguniang Kabataan sang Poblacion Sur sa paghatag kahigayunan sa tanan nga kabataan nga magtubo, magtuon, kag mangin epektibo nga kabahin sang komunidad.

Sng Setyembre 21, 2025 sa Boracay Island, Malay Aklan. Isa ka hamili nga kadungganan ang nakuha ni Marsan F. Bacalangco, sang iya pagkadaog bilang Miss Henann 2025 sang ginpatigayon nga kompetisyon. Si Bacalangco amo ang opisyal nga muse sang Poblacion Sur Youth Organization (PSYO) kag nangin representasyon sang katahum kag kaisog sang pamat-ananon.

Ang 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐫 kag ang 𝐏𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐏𝐒𝐘𝐎) labi na komunidad nagapabutyag sang ila daku nga pagpasalamat kag kalipay sa bago nga kadungganan nga gindala ni Ms. Marsan F. Bacalangco. Ang iya pagkadaog nagapakita nga ang kabataan sang Poblacion Sur may gahum nga maghatag inspirasyon kag mangin ehemplo sang pagkadalaga, kahamutan, kag liderato sa mas madamo pa nga henerasyon.

Sa tunga sang masami nga kompetisyon, nagbantala si Bacalangco sang iya kaadyag, kaisog, kag pagkamapisan nga nagdala sa iya sa pag-angkon sang korona. Ang iya pagdaog indi lang sa iya kaugalingon, kundi isa man ka pagpasidungog sa kabataan kag pumuluyo sang Poblacion Sur nga nagasuporta kag nagapangamuyo para sa iya.

Behind the success of our month-long celebration are these dedicated hearts and hands — the 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐫 headed by 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗹 𝗕. 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀, the 𝐏𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 led by 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀. 𝗝𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗗. 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻, and the 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐫 under the leadership of 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗿. 💚🤍

From the early planning stages to the last award given during our Culmination Night on August 2, this team, together with the whole council of SK Poblacion Sur, the officers of PSYO, and the entire Barangay Council, worked tirelessly to ensure every activity, from sports tournaments to cultural showcases, was meaningful, inclusive, and memorable for our community.

We also give special thanks to our 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬/𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 and the 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 who extended their time and energy. Our deepest gratitude as well to 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 who supported our cause and inspired the youth to give their best throughout the celebration.

𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲

For the past three weeks, the youth of Poblacion Sur have come together in the spirit of sportsmanship, creativity, and unity through the 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧-𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, a celebration dedicated to showcasing the talents, skills, and energy of our young people.

From 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟐 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐, our community witnessed exciting competitions in sports, cultural performances, and various youth-centered activities that brought life, color, and pride to our barangay. These events not only highlighted the capabilities of our youth but also strengthened the bonds of friendship among participants and supporters.

Last August 2, we officially closed this year’s festivities with the Culmination Night and Awarding Ceremony, where we honored the winners and recognized the remarkable contributions of individuals and teams who made this celebration possible. The night was filled with music, cheers, and moments of joy, a perfect ending to a month-long journey of growth and unity.

This year’s Bulan sang Pamatan-on is a testament that when the youth are given opportunities and platforms to shine, they will always rise to the occasion.

Ang katapusan nga adlaw sang selebrasyon nangin isa ka madinalag-on nga timprano para sa kabataan, puno sang pasidungog, kalipay, kag pagkahiusa.

Ginbuksan ang gab-i paagi sa Seremonya sang Pagpasidungog, kun sa diin gin-ila ang mga nagdaog kag nangin aktibo sa nagkalain-lain nga kompetisyon kag aktibidad sa sulod sang isa ka bulan. Ang tagsa ka pasidungog nagapakita sang kinaadman, talento, kag partisipasyon sang kabataan sa komunidad.

Pagkatapos sang seremonya, ginsundan ini sang Youth Disco Night nga nangin kabahin sang fundraising activity para sa mga palaabuton nga proyekto sang SK kag mga inisyatibo para sa pag-uswag sang kabataan. Nagtililipon ang mga pamatan-on sa dance floor, nagahiliusa sa musika, kalipay, kag paglaum.

Ang malampuson nga katapusan sang Bulan sang Pamatan-on nagpanginbulahan sang kooperasyon sang mga pamatan-on, barangay kag mga organisasyon nga nagatudlo nga kon may hugpong, may pag-uswag.

Sa pagtamyaw sang musika kag pagpalong sang suga, nabilin sa tagipusuon sang kabataan ang inspirasyon nga magpadayon sa pagserbisyo kag pagbag-o para sa mas maayo nga Poblacion Sur.

In a celebration of unity, youth spirit, and community pride, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Poblacion Sur and the Poblacion Sur Youth Organization are inviting all Sigmanhon to a spectacular event Culmination Night 2025, happening on August 2, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM at the Civic Center, Poblacion Norte, Sigma, Capiz.

Themed as a disco party, this final night of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2025 is expected to bring together residents from all over Sigma for a night filled with music, dance, and celebration. With colorful lights, groovy tunes, and nostalgic vibes, Culmination Night aims to create memories while showcasing the talent and energy of the local youth.

The event is open to all Sigmanhon, emphasizing inclusivity and community connection. To ensure everyone enjoys the night in style and respect, a dress code will be strictly followed. Wearing sando or shorts above the knee is not allowed, as the organizers encourage modest yet fashionable disco attire in line with community values.

Adding to the excitement, table reservations are now available, allowing families, groups of friends, and barangay clusters to secure comfortable spots during the event.

With the full support of local leaders and community organizations, Culmination Night is more than just a party it's a celebration of the future leaders of Sigma, a tribute to tradition, and a reminder of how vibrant and united the youth can be when given a platform.

The vibrant energy of the youth took center stage on Day 07 of 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧-𝐨𝐧 as the 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 proudly hosted the 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐏𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞.

Running from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM, the event was a dazzling celebration of youth creativity, unity, and talent, set against a disco-themed backdrop that brought retro glamour to life. With music, lights, and lively performances, the night served as a grand finale to a week filled with meaningful activities for the youth sector.

Attendees were reminded to observe the event’s clothing etiquette, emphasizing modest yet stylish attire. The organizers strictly enforced a dress code prohibiting sandó (sleeveless undershirts) and shorts or dresses above the knee, encouraging participants to dress respectfully while enjoying the disco vibe. The result was a colorful crowd of youth donning shimmering outfits, flared pants, wrap dresses, and classic accessories — all in line with the retro theme and respectful of community standards.

Youth leaders, local officials, and members of the community came together to witness not just a party, but a strong display of discipline, talent, and camaraderie among the young people of Poblacion Sur.

The night concluded with a sense of accomplishment and unity, as the youth celebrated not only the end of the week's events but also the values of leadership, respect, and cultural pride that each activity sought to inspire.
