The activity was conducted in coordination with AMLIG-Antique, faith communities, civil society organizations, NGOs, and other cause-oriented groups. Church leaders also called on clergy, religious communities, parishes, Catholic schools, Lay Organizations, Movements, Associations and Societies (LOMAS), Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs), and the youth to take part.

Mr. Abelino Ysulat emphasized the call for our legislatorsโ€”who serve as our representativesโ€”to do their job and encouraged fellow Antiqueรฑos to participate in activities aligned with the advocacy of โ€œBugtaw Antique.โ€

Selected Political Science students likewise expressed their sentiments, stressing the need to stand for our environment and to demand transparency and accountability.

Pursuant to Republic Act No. 9492, National Heroes Day is celebrated annually to honor the bravery of the Philippine National Heroes who fought for the freedom of our country.

It is held on the last Monday of August to commemorate the beginning of the Cry of Pugad Lawin in 1896, which marked the beginning of the Philippine revolution against the Spanish Empire.

Their inspiring contributions serve as a reminder that we all possess the potential to create positive change in the world. Letโ€™s draw motivation from their stories and strive to make a meaningful impact. Furthermore, as we honor the heroes of the past who laid the foundation for the revolution, let us not forget to celebrate the heroes of the present who are laying the foundation for the betterment of our nation.
