The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Lacaron convened its youth members for the combined SK and Katipunan ng Kabataan Assembly on July 19, 2026 at the Barangay Covered Court.

SK Chairperson Hon. Rolando Ardenio led the assembly together with the SK council and the youth of the barangay. The council presented the annual budget and its utilization report, detailing how funds were spent over the past year. A recap of previous activities was also shown to the attendees.

In the spirit of accountability and transparency, the council gave an update on the current budget balance and the status of ongoing projects. The report allowed the youth to see firsthand how their local governance is managing resources and implementing programs.

The assembly also tackled the upcoming Linggo ng Kabataan celebration scheduled for August. The council presented the planned activities for the month-long event. Among the highlights discussed was the ongoing audition for Lin-ay kag Lakan kang Lacaron 2026, which will serve as one of the centerpiece activities.

The SK council encouraged the youth to continue their support and active participation in future endeavors. The council emphasized its commitment to providing a platform for the talents and skills of the youth while fostering camaraderie and stronger community ties in Barangay Lacaron.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Lacaron, together with barangay officials and the faculty of Lacaron Integrated School, actively joined the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill at the school campus on June 18, 2026.
This drill focused on executing standard emergency protocols, guiding students and staff through swift evacuation procedures and proper "duck, cover, and hold" techniques.
This integrated initiative reinforced the local government's and youth sector's unwavering dedication to bolstering disaster resilience and safeguarding the school community against potential seismic hazards.
