In its 5th Regular Session, the ๐ผ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐จ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐
๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ โ ๐บ๐๐๐
๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ has formally approved ten proposed measures on their Third and Final Reading; and one proposed measure on its Second Reading. Following comprehensive committee review and rigorous plenary deliberations, the legislative body has concluded its process with decisive actionโreflecting diligence, accountability, and a firm commitment to responsive governance.
The following resolutions have now been duly approved:
1. โA resolution proposing a new constitution to revise and supersede all previous Student Government constitutions in the University of Antiqueโ
2. โA resolution promoting menstrual health and hygiene through the installation of sanitary pad vending machines across the University of AntiqueโMain Campusโ
3. โA resolution establishing the secretariat of the student congress as the permanent administrative and records arm of the legislative branch.โ
4. โA resolution establishing the University of Antique โPayong Stationsโโa free umbrella-sharing program utilizing existing University of Antique Student Government umbrellas, with a deposit or student id-based borrowing system, as part of campus disaster-preparedness and climate-resilience initiativesโ
5. โA resolution mandating the online publication of the constitution and by-laws by the University of Antique Student GovernmentโMain Campus, collegiate councils, and all accredited student organizations on their respective official pagesโ
6. โA resolution adopting the rules and regulations (R&R) governing the University of AntiqueโMain Campus student center and designating the officers-in-chargeโ
7. โA resolution to establish Student Government bulletin board outside the university library to enhance information dissemination to the students at the University of Antique-Main Campusโ
8. โA resolution on institutionalizing project pag-basa: book donation drive as an initiative to promote quality education and support literacy among children in rural areasโ
9. โA resolution for the implementation of a regular cleaning and monitoring day of comfort rooms at the University of AntiqueโMain Campusโ
10. โA resolution on the reorientation and institutionalization of semestral meetings of campus security personnel in collaboration with the Student Government and the student affairs and services office of the University of AntiqueโMain Campusโ
11. โA resolution requesting a collaboration with the University Health Unit to provide first aid kits and implement emergency readiness measures in every department to ensure student safety and welfareโ
These measures collectively strengthen institutional structure, promote transparency, enhance student welfare, and reinforce the Universityโs commitment to inclusive, accountable, and forward-looking leadership. The passage of these resolutions' marks not merely the end of deliberation, but the beginning of purposeful implementation. Thus, these resolutions must still undergo the final stages of the approval process before they can be properly implemented.
