CCIS Students Conduct Digital Skills Workshop for Egaรฑa Residents and Fellow Learners
On May 30, 2026, the students of the College of Computing and Information Science (CCIS) held a successful community workshop at Room 304 of the UA CCIS Building. Following the theme of building practical digital skills, the event welcomed residents from Barangay Egaรฑa as well as fellow students, focusing on tools useful for creating presentations and visual content. Leading the sessions were two student leaders: Asher Morales, Mayor of BSCS 1A and CCIS NSTP-CWTS Public Information Officer, who facilitated the workshop on Microsoft PowerPoint, and JP Evangelio, Mayor of BSIT 1D and CCIS NSTP-CWTS Vice President, who guided participants through the features and uses of Canva.
Both speakers presented clear, easy-to-follow discussions suitable for learners of all skill levels. To ensure participants gained actual proficiency, each session included guided hands-on activities. Attendees practiced designing slides, arranging content, and applying design elements, allowing them to immediately apply what they learned. The activity helped equip the community and students with practical knowledge for school projects, work presentations, and personal creative tasks.
