Agusan Youth Alliance Network, Inc. (AYAN) and BookNook AYAN are truly grateful for the invitation of the Sibagat Youth Development Council (SYDC) represented by Mr. Joshua Lalisan Moca to take part in the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, held on August 21–22, 2026, at Poblacion, Sibagat, Agusan del Sur.

Through the BooKID Project and LIBROAD, AYAN remains committed to supporting SYDC and the Municipality of Sibagat in promoting literacy, learning, and a love for reading among children and young people. We believe that by working together, we can continue creating meaningful opportunities and accessible learning spaces for every child in our community.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the leadership and valuable contributions of former LYDO Maam Catherine Chee, whose dedication helped strengthen youth development initiatives in Sibagat. As we welcome the new LYDO, Sir Karianne, we look forward to continued collaboration and to building even more meaningful programs for the youth and children of our municipality.

Thank you, SYDC, for continuously opening spaces for partnership, participation, and community engagement. Together, let us continue empowering the youth, inspiring young minds, and building a more literate and inclusive Sibagat.

A NEW READING SPACE FOR OUR YOUNG LEARNERS!📚💚

The Agusan Youth Alliance Network (AYAN) Inc., through the Bookid Project Inc. and BN AYAN - Sibagat, Agusan del Sur, continues its commitment to creating safe, welcoming, and inspiring spaces where children can learn, read, imagine, and grow.

Recognizing the need for an additional reading and learning space for our children and storytellers, the Garcia Family, who owns the lot and generously provides the space used by AYAN for its activities, has extended its support by constructing another learning area for the community. ❤️

With the increasing heat waves, this new space is being designed with a wooden foundation and a traditional nipa-hut-inspired structure, providing a cooler, more comfortable, and conducive environment for reading, storytelling, and other learning activities. 🌴📖

We hope that this space will become a place where our learners can strengthen their foundation in reading, literacy, numeracy, and academic learning. More importantly, may it continue to inspire curiosity, creativity, confidence, and a love for learning among the children in our community.

Every reading space we build is another opportunity to open young minds and create brighter possibilities for the future. ✨

📚 The new learning space will be ready for use as soon as construction is completed!

📚 AYAN Inc. PARTICIPATES IN THE LOCAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING OF SIBAGAT

The Agusan Youth Alliance Network (AYAN) Inc., together with Bookid Project Inc. and BN AYAN - Sibagat, Agusan del Sur, actively participated in the Local School Board Meeting of the Municipality of Sibagat.

The organizations were represented by our Founder and President, Mr. Gary G. Garcia, who attended the meeting to listen to updates and developments regarding the Municipality’s Literacy Program, as well as discussions on the allocation and appropriation of the Special Education Fund (SEF).

As advocates of literacy, learning, and youth development, AYAN Inc. remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote quality education and help create more opportunities for children and learners in the community. 📖✨

Through collaboration and active participation with our local government and education stakeholders, we continue to work toward a future where every child has access to meaningful learning opportunities and a stronger foundation in literacy and education.

📚✨ BN AYAN SHARES ITS “KWENTONG BOOKOD TANGI” WITH THE BOOKNOOK COMMUNITY! 🇵🇭

The Agusan Youth Alliance Network (AYAN) Inc., through Bookid Project Inc. and BN AYAN - Sibagat, Agusan del Sur, proudly participated in the BookNook National Assembly 2026, held online via Zoom on August 13–14 and 20–21, 2026.

With the theme “Bookod Tangi,” the National Assembly brought together BookNook Area Coordinators from different parts of the Philippines to share stories, experiences, initiatives, and best practices in building stronger and more collaborative reading communities.

Representing BN AYAN, our Founder and President, Mr. Gary G. Garcia, shared “Kwentong Bookod Tangi: Building Collaborative Reading Communities.” 📖💚

During his presentation, he proudly highlighted two of BN AYAN’s major initiatives:

📚 BooKID Project– bringing books, storytelling, and meaningful learning experiences closer to children and communities; and

🚐 LibRoad (Library on the Road)– an initiative that brings the library beyond its walls and directly to communities, making books and reading more accessible to young learners.

Through these initiatives, BN AYAN continues to believe that building a culture of reading is not a journey we take alone. It is made possible through collaboration among volunteers, families, communities, local partners, educators, storytellers, and everyone who believes in the power of books to change lives. 💚

We are honored to share our story and learn from fellow BookNook coordinators across the country. May we continue to connect communities, inspire young readers, and create more spaces where children can read, learn, dream, and grow. 🌱📚✨

May kapangyarihan ang bawat libro at kuwento na mag-iwan ng inspirasyon at magbukas ng pag-asa para sa kinabukasan ng kabataan.

Ito ang paniniwalang isinasabuhay ng Book Nook – Agusan Youth Alliance Network (BN AYAN) sa Brgy. San Vicente, Sibagat, Agusan del Sur. Sa loob ng apat na taon, inilalapit nila ang karunungan sa mga komunidad na kulang sa akses sa mga aklat sa pamamagitan ng mga proyektong tulad ng Padel Pages, BooKID Project, at LibROAD.

Sa tulong ng kanilang storytelling sessions, school supply drives, at academic programs, patuloy nilang pinapayabong ang pagmamahal sa pagbabasa at hinuhubog ang mga pangarap ng kabataan sa rehiyon tungo sa mas magandang kinabukasan.

The Bookid Project Inc. and BN AYAN - Sibagat, Agusan del Sur attended the San Vicente/Ilihan Water System Association (SIWASA)'s General Assembly today August 9, 2026 at San Vicente Multi-Purpose Gymnasium. It was attended by both consumers of both barangays with their respective Brgy. Captain Brenda P. Dumagan of San Vicente and Brgy. Captain Evangeline Pulleros of Ilihan was presided over by Mr. Ricardo Butao, the Chairman of SIWASA.

For over 18-20 years of service, the officers of SIWASA have now convened to elect the new set of officers. It was August 9, 2026 that the new set of officers of SIWASA was elected.

Ito ang aming :

“Sa pamamagitan ng proyekto na "Padel Pages" ng The Book Nook AYAN, ipinapakita nila ang tunay na diwa ng pagtutulungan at pagmamalasakit sa ating komunidad. Layunin nitong tulungan ang mga underprivileged na bata sa pamamagitan ng story-telling sessions, school supply drives, at academic support.

Ang bawat kwento na ibinabahagi, bawat librong naibibigay, at bawat tulong na naibibigay ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon upang mapasaya at mapalawak ang kanilang mga pangarap. Sa tulong ng mga volunteer, g**o, at mga magulang, naniniwala sila na makakamit natin ang mas maliwanag na kinabukasan para sa ating kabataan.

Huwag kalimutan na ang isang maliit na tulong ay pwedeng magdala ng malaking pagbabago. Sama-sama tayo sa pagpapaabot ng pag-asa at oportunidad sa mga batang nangangailangan."
