Sara NHS Empowers Students Through Advocacy Campaign
Last September 17, the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Mates, spearheaded an advocacy campaign that centered on the pressing issues of substance abuse prevention and cyber safety awareness. The activity gathered students, teachers, and community partners in a day filled with lectures, discussions, and interactive sessions designed to strengthen awareness and responsibility among the youth.

One of the major highlights of the program was the formal oath-taking of the School Drug Watch Committee along with the newly elected BKD Mates officers. This significant moment symbolized their strong commitment to lead their peers in building a drug-free and secure school environment. Through this initiative, the BKD Mates continue to uphold their mission of guiding learners toward a healthier, safer, and more responsible future.

The BKD mates, led by their President Danielle Rhian Bac Rufino, proudly joined the Run for Hope 2025, a 3K & 5K Fun Run for a Cause organized by K5 FM News Sara Station.

Along with them, the Grade 12 representatives of BKD, Arianne Jane Requinto and Matthew Duran, and also other clubs and organizations with the 12 STEM students of SNHS, joined the run and showed their energy and support.

The BKD members ran with courage and unity, proving that the fun run is not only for fitness but also for hope and purpose.

We thank K5 FM Radio Sara Station for the prizes and for letting us take part in your first anniversary celebration in Sara.
