SEED4Com addresses grassroots gaps to spur restoration, rehabilitation and sustainable growth focusing on clean energy solutions, capacity building and rural entrepreneurship as key enablers of rural community development.

Sustainable Gift Giving and Financial Literacy Activity in New Casul Integrated School, New Casul, Concepcion, Mis. Occ

The Sustainable Gift Giving and Financial Literacy Activity was successfully conducted at New Casul Integrated School in collaboration with JMG Sapang Dalaga and SEED4COM Sapang Dalaga Chapter.

I. Objectives

The activity aimed to:

1. Promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices among learners.

2. Encourage the spirit of generosity and responsible gift giving.

3. Introduce basic financial literacy concepts such as saving, budgeting, and wise spending.

4. Strengthen school-community partnerships.

5. Provide meaningful support to selected beneficiaries through eco-friendly initiatives.

II. Highlights of the Activity

The program commenced with an opening message highlighting sustainability, responsible consumption, and financial responsibility. A short financial literacy session was conducted, focusing on the importance of saving money, distinguishing needs from wants, and practicing proper budgeting at a young age.

Learners actively participated in discussions and practical examples related to managing allowances and making smart financial decisions.

Eco-friendly gift packs were then distributed to the beneficiaries. The entire activity was implemented in an organized and safe manner through the coordinated efforts of the volunteers and the safety and logistics team.

III. Beneficiaries

The activity benefited selected learners and community members of New Casul Integrated School. Aside from receiving eco-friendly gifts, participants gained valuable knowledge on environmental responsibility and basic money management skills.
