IN PHOTOS | Regular Monthly Meeting for the month of March.

The Santo Tomas Veterans Post held its regular monthly meeting at Sto. Tomas Central Elementary School, Brgy. Poblacion, Sto. Tomas, La Union last March 14, 2026. Spearheaded by Post President LT COL ROMARICO Z RAMOS PA (RET) with the officers, board members, and dedicated members of the Post.
The meeting agenda reviewed recent activities, discussions on members with thier standing and annual upcoming events for the organization. Plans are underway for the Post's 3rd Founding Anniversary, tentatively scheduled on the 2nd week of May.
With the active participation of members, comments and suggestions took place to give emphasis on important matters as we continue to adhere on its mission on serving the community and national development.

IN PHOTOS| In the spirit of love and thanksgiving, the Santo Tomas LU Veterans Post Inc. held its Christmas Party last 13 December 2025 at the Multi Purpose Hall of Sto. Tomas Central School, Brgy. Poblacion, Sto. Tomas, La union. Marking another year of fellowship and shared memories among its members. Veterans and their families gathered to celebrate the season with joy, gratitude, and renewed camaraderie.
The event was filled with simple yet meaningful activities that brought smiles to everyone present. Messages from the Post President, LT. COL. ROMARICO Z. RAMOS PA (RET.). Ms. Letecia A.Eisma, Surviving Spouse Member, Mr. Alexander F. Rivera, Principal of Sto. Tomas Central School, 2LT. JULIUS N CARANG PA (RET), District President 2nd La Union Veterans District, and our new member and appointed as Post Advicer, MGEN FELIPE BEJAR AFP (RET.) They all expressed their warmth appreciation for the veterans' sacrifices and encourage unity and cooperation moving forward.
On the otherhand, The Post President handed a two(2) checks representing Wake and Healthcare Assistances received by Ms.Carmelita R Sabangan, Surviving Spouse of Late 2LT ALEJANDRO SABANGAN PAF (RET.), a member of the Post who died last 04 August 2025. Prior his death, he was confined in the hospital on 18-25 June 2025. From this memorable event, the Post shows its concern and caring to our valued member of our organization and a respected veteran who dedicated years of his life in service to our country and community.
More than just a celebration, the Christmas Party became a moment of reflection on the values of service, brotherhood and patriotism that bind the Veterans together. The gathering ended with the strong sense of togetherness and optimism for the year ahead.

IN PHOTOS| REGIONAL ASSEMBLY of VETERANS @ TAGUDIN, ILOCOS SUR

On 22 November 2025, The Santo Tomas LU Veterans Post Inc. headed by the Post President, LT COL ROMARICO Z RAMOS PA (RET) and its members attended the Regional Assembly of Veterans from Region 1 at Tagudin Farmers Civic Center, Ilocos Sur.
The program began with the arrival of the Guest of Honor and Speaker. Mrs.Marilyn Serquin̈a (Regional Assistant of Region 1) and Vet. Aniceto R. Ruaquin , served as the maaters of ceremony. The program started with a holy mass by Rev. Fr. Melchor Reonal(Parish priest of San Emilio, Ilocos Sur), singing of the national anthem, and "Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas," followed by welcome address of VET. RUBEN S. MAGSI SR., President Region 1, VFP. The different personalities, former Mayor of Tagudin, Hon. Roque Versoza, the Hon. Dra. Paula Cynthia R. Valencia, SBM,San Vicente, Ilocos Sur (Daughter of WW2 Veteran), gave also a very inspiring message that symbolizes the service and sacrifice of veterans.
On the otherhand, VFP, AVP, COMMODORE SALVADOR ESGUERRA AFP (RET) took place in the absence of the Guest of Honor and Speaker, MGEN ROMEO D ALAMILLO AFP (RET), President and CEO VFP, who emphasized and highlighted the important role of the Veterans towards the nation. He gave also on the latest information that could bring up on the moral of the veterans.
Additionaly, the Provincial Coordinators of Region 1, VFP. VET. DIONISIO A. TORINA of Ilocos Sur, VET. DELFIN A. AVENA of Ilocos Norte, VET. JULIUS M. CARANG of La Union and VET. HENRY O. JAMES II of Pangasinan gave also their updates on their organization as a proof on their commitment when they oath to serve.
This assembly served as a memorable event for the Veterans Posts of Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, united in their mission, contribute to the region’s progress and uphold the values of the Veterans Federation of the Philippines.

IN PHOTOS | Regular Monthly Meeting for the month of November.

The Santo Tomas LU Veterans Post successfully conducted its regular monthly meeting for the month of November at the Covered court of Brgy. Poblacion, Sto. Tomas La Union, led by the Post President LT COL ROMARICO Z. RAMOS PA (RET) and attended by its BOD's, officers and members.
The meeting agenda reviewed recent activities and discussions of exciting upcoming events for the holiday season. Planning is on the way for the Post's Christmas Party, tentatively scheduled on 13 December 2025.
With the active participation of members, we continue to foster unity,welfare, camaraderie and service among its veteran members. Demonstrating our unwavering commitment to community and national development.

IN PHOTOS| Regular Monthly Meeting by the month of September
The Santo Tomas LU Veterans Post conducted their regular monthly meeting held at the covered court, Brgy. Poblacion, Sto. Tomas, La Union on September 13, 2025. Headed by the Post President, LT COL ROMARICO Z RAMOS PA (RET) with the Officers, BOD's and members of the Post.
The members engaged in the discussions in regards to previous and upcoming events. It tackles also on assistance rendered to veteran members and families in the past month, including support with medical and burial assistance. With the active participation of the members, we always look forward for the betterment of the Post as to foster a strong sense of camarederie and bond for our service to nation.
On the otherhand, the Post is proud to uphold the values of service, compassion, and community through our recent initiative focused on giving and awarding gifts to individuals and families in need. As veterans, we understand the meaning of sacrifice, hardship, and resilience and we believe in standing with those who face challenges in their daily lives.
Through careful selection and community outreach, we identified individuals whose circumstances reflect both need and dignity. These recipients were chosen not only based on financial hardship, but also on their perseverance, character, and quiet strength in the face of adversity. The bag of goods has been given by ACDI CREDIT COOPERATIVE to the Post and recently voted by the members to gave it to the chosen benificiaries in need.

"THE FINAL TRIBUTE TO A VETERAN"

IN PHOTOS/ The Santo Tomas Veterans Post, headed by the President LT COL ROMARICO Z RAMOS PA (RET) and its members honored the final tribute paid to our esteemed veteran member, 2LT ALEJANDRO M SABANGAN PAF (RET), a valued member of our organization and a respected veteran who dedicated years of his life in service to our country and community.
2LT SABANGAN's legacy remains inspiration to all of us. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his contributions to both military service and civilian life will never be forgotten. As we bid farewell to him, we reaffirm our commitment to uphold the values he stood for- honor, courage, and loyalty. May his soul rest in peace, and may his life remind us all of the importance of service to others.

IN PHOTOS| REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING FOR THE MONTH OF JULY.

The Santo Tomas LU Veterans Post held its regular monthly meeting at the covered court of Brgy. Poblacion, Sto. Tomas, La Union last 12 July 2025.
The said activity spearheaded by the Post President LT COL ROMARICO Z RAMOS PA (RET) with the Officers, BOD's and members.
The meeting opened with patriotic ceremonies, including the singing of the National Anthem, a prayer for the members, and the Veterans pledge, Panunumpa sa Watawat.
From the start, the Post President with its members tackles on the assistance of the individuals and their families. They reviewed also the activities and accomplishments of the Post over the past month. With the renewed spirit of unity, camaraderie and service to nation. The Post continue to support its mission of honoring our fellow Veterans and those who are in need.
