Have you ever wondered if the Lord can really use you?
Can the One who created everything see someone ordinary, afraid, and just trying to survive each day as worthy? Last SONday we were reminded that God is not looking for perfection; rather, He is looking for the obedience of His people. In his presence, we were challenged to stop hiding and start believing that He sees more in usโthan we see in ourselves.
God taught us, in Judges 6-7, three truths about God's call:
โข First is that God will call you even when you are not ready. He called Gideon a โmighty warriorโ as he was hiding in fear. God had seen his potential before Gideon ever did.
โข Second, preparation comes first. He depleted Gideon's armyโremoving self-reliance and pride on Gideon and his men. Teaching them that God alone is enough.
โข Lastly, God sends us out. The Camp Building event was not just a competition inside the church. It was about preparation and the mission that God has given us.
God does not call the qualifiedโHe qualifies the called.
