The 𝙋𝙞 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙢𝙖 𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙞 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙢𝙖 𝘿𝙚𝙡𝙩𝙖 𝙎𝙤𝙧𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙞𝙘𝙤𝙡 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 (𝙀𝙩𝙖 𝙀𝙩𝙖 | 𝙎𝙩𝙤. 𝘿𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙤, 𝘼𝙡𝙗𝙖𝙮) stands firmly united with the people of Albay in the “Protesta ng NAMAMANWAANG BIKOLANO.”

Today, we raise our voices against the plague of corruption that continues to cripple our country. We demand TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY, and JUSTICE!

Corruption is not just about stolen funds — it robs the people of opportunities, dignity, and hope. It steals from our farmers, workers, students, and future generations. For too long, the corrupt have thrived while ordinary Filipinos suffer.

We join this protest to declare: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
We will not stay silent as the powerful continue to exploit and deceive.
We will not stand by while public trust is betrayed.

This is more than a call to action — this is a movement. A movement to reclaim our government, our communities, and our future from those who have sold out the people for greed and power.

HANGGANG KAILAN ANG HANGGANAN?

For decades, the Filipino people have endured a vicious cycle of corruption investigations that lead nowhere. For every handful of convictions, a swift pardon follows. Billions of stolen public funds remain unrecovered. Politicians get re-elected. Contractors simply rebrand and return. Their nepo wives and nepo babies even flaunt their dirty money in media and social feeds. We are tired. We are angry. And we refuse to be silent any longer.

We are exhausted by the endless parade of hearings and exposes that end in impunity. Instead of deterring corruption, these investigations embolden "syndicates" to commit even grander theft-ghost projects, substandard infrastructure, pork barrel insertions disguised as development. Each scandal is swiftly replaced by another, every few weeks. These cycles erode our trust, insult our dignity, and extinguish our hope.

The Filipino people demand more than tears and rhetoric. We demand results.

In cahoots with each other, corruption within the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). the House of Representatives, the Senate, and oversight agencies like the Commission on Audit (CO), has reached grotesque proportions. While officials enrich themselves, millions of Filipinos suffer:

• Roads and bridges that crumble before they're finished
• Communities that flood with every storm
• Public funds siphoned away from the poor and into private pockets

This is not just theft--it is betrayal. It is a crime against the nation.

THE TIME FOR JUSTICE IS NOW

We call on Malacañang, the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the Judiciary to act together with courage and integrity. The time for coordinated, decisive action is now. We demand:

• The formation of a truly independent commission with prosecutorial powers
• Full transparency of all public works contracts and expenditures
Swift and public prosecution of those found guilty
• Freezing and recovery of stolen funds
• A permanent blacklist of contractors and officials involved in corrupt practices

This is not just politics. This is a moral reckoning. Our future is at stake. Justice must be served-now.

Let us not allow another generation to inherit a broken system. lisa lang ang bansa natin. Let us rise, speak out. and demand accountability. Let our voices be louder than their hideous silence. Let our unity be stronger than their impunity.

Sobra na. Tama na. Husgahan na. Tapusin na.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The Pi Sigma Fraternity celebrated its 53rd founding anniversary this August, reaffirming more than five decades of service, leadership, and brotherhood. The milestone highlights the fraternity’s commitment to its principle of serving the people.

As part of the commemoration, the Pi Sigma Fraternity Eta-Eta Chapter in Sto. Domingo, Albay conducted an outreach activity on August 16, 2025, for 26 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) under the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology. Members distributed simple tokens and essentials to provide support to the beneficiaries.

Shawn Justine Barrios, Lord Excelcius of the said chapter, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to extend their assistance, underscoring that even small acts of service can bring meaningful support to the community.

The chapter also extended thanks to JINSP Arturo N. Briñas, Acting Warden of the Sto. Domingo District Jail, along with its partners, for their role in making the outreach successful.

𝙄𝙣 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 53𝙧𝙙 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙞 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙢𝙖 𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙬𝙚 𝙚𝙭𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙮 (𝙋𝘿𝙇).

In line with our guiding principle, “𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚,” we visited the 𝙎𝙩𝙤. 𝘿𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙤 𝘽𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙪 𝙤𝙛 𝙅𝙖𝙞𝙡 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 to distribute hygiene kits—simple tokens of care meant to let them know they are remembered, valued, and still part of the larger society.

We were deeply moved by their words of gratitude: “𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙖𝙝𝙞𝙡 𝙣𝙖𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙡𝙖 𝙣𝙞𝙮𝙤 𝙠𝙖𝙢𝙞.” “𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙖 𝙩𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙜 𝙥𝙖 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙨𝙮𝙤𝙣 𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙮𝙤 𝙖𝙩 𝙗𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙠 𝙪𝙡𝙞𝙩 𝙠𝙖𝙮𝙤.” “𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙖 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙗𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙖, 𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙪𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙖 𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣.”

These heartfelt sentiments strengthen our resolve to continuously serve the marginalized sectors of our community. They remind us that the spirit of service must reach every corner where compassion and solidarity are needed.

We sincerely thank all our brothers, sisters, and supporters who made this endeavor possible. Your efforts and commitment embody the true essence of Pi Sigma’s twin principles.
