Anak ng Laguna Inc. Charitable Program for Youth and Elderly Anak ng Laguna, Inc. (ANLI) is a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization founded in 2008 in the City of Sta.

Rosa. It is duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on May 19, 2008 (SEC. REG. NO. CN200807343). The founder of ANLI is Marcelo “Soy” Aruga Mercado” who is in the lineage of the Philippine National Hero, Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonzo Realonda. Just Like Rizal, Soy Mercado completed his studies at the Ateneo de Manila University. Then and now, Soy Mercado believes in

the saying of Rizal that “Ang Kabataan ang Pag-asa ng bayan”. As a youth, he started a small program that gave hope to the youth sector. In 2005, he was able to provide free educational grant to college students. It was his dream for the people in Laguna province to have a quality of life in terms of economic, provision of shelter, health benefits and a peaceful community. With the birth of the ANLI in the said year, the vision of Soy Mercado for Lagunese has started to take its journey of realizations through the implementation of its diverse programs and services. The biggest among these is the EYE CARE PROGRAM who at present was able to cater more than 30,000 beneficiaries (by way of free eye check-up) and still in counting. To better serve the growing numbers of clients/beneficiaries, ANLI have instituted facilities in the four congressional districts in Laguna specifically in Sta. Rosa City, Calamba City, Municipalities of Sta. Cruz and Siniloan. Looking on the deeper needs of the people of Laguna, ANLI is projecting and working on expansions covering programs other medical programs such as provision of medicines, financial assistance for hospitalization and assistance surgical procedures. Additional to these is the educational assistance, livelihood assistance and ecological activities/projects. ANLI is working with its highly capacitated and competitive and huge volunteer’s network working in the companies of the founder and is encouraging public-private partnership (PPP) to widen the scope of its operation and increase the number of beneficiaries being served. We promote the dignity and self-worth of all of our clients and beneficiaries, and strive to give them excellent quality of life, as defined by the Social Welfare and Development standards. As we provide for them Medical, Education and livelihood assistance, we encourages them to participate actively particularly in decision-making and guide them to self-determination in activities, socialization through our diverse program and services. ANLI helps building a better home and community. OBJECTIVES

To partner and cooperate with the government in the promotion of quality implementation of Social Welfare and Development(SWD) Program for the general welfare of the poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged sector in the community through the provision of medical, education, livelihood and ecological programs and services designed to raise the status of well-being of the beneficiaries and the people;
To access financial grants and or generate resources with partners by virtue of MOU/MOA and other contract which are geared to ensure sustainability of programs and services for the beneficiaries and the people;
To link with institutions and service providers that provides cheaper (if not free) cost of service, especially medical procedures and medicines to beneficiaries and shall be paid for by the foundation/association.
