75 STRANGERS, ONE SHARED MISSION. 🌊

Last January 25, 2026, The Raniag ken Boses iti Agtutubo – Santa Maria Chapter hosted THE MASS SHORELINE CLEARING: a coastal clean-up drive that stretched from the very ends of the Suso Beach View Deck until Nalvo – Suso Intrusion, and the result was nothing short of a wave of change. What started as a focused drive turned into a powerful display of unity as individuals from various organizations unexpectedly joined forces.

It turns out that while we come from different backgrounds and sectors, we all share the same tide. Proof that when we clear the path together, the future looks much brighter.

Piles of sacks and bags filled with trash, as we walked the shores sharing stories, making memories painted with smiles and laughter without knowing each other properly. The goal was achieved in a span of three hours of continuous collection of pollutants along the coasts. We were indeed disappointed of how irresponsible people are with proper trash disposal even if it was already iterated since our elementary days. This eye opener not only broaden our vision to see the world in each other’s lenses, but also opened opportunities to connect and partner with the organizations that took part in this initiative.

With that said, we from Raniag ken Boses iti Agtutubo would like to thank the following organizations and Government sectors who answered the calling:
- Bureau of Fire Protection – Santa Maria Firehouse headed by SF04 Jimuel J. Trinidad
- Philippine National Police – Santa Maria Municipal Police Station headed by PLT. PLT Jenson N. Refuerzo
- Ilocos Sur Environmental Enthusiasta – Santa Maria Chapter headed by Sir Glenmar Zamora
- Hospitality Management Student Association – ISPSC Santa Maria headed by Ma’am Geneva Dayap
- Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Saint Mary’s College headed by sir Mark Angelo Norberte
- Girl Scouts of the Philippines – Santa Maria National High School under the supervision of Ma’am Joy Florence Ramos

We would also like to extend our appreciation to the generous sponsor for this activity, our Municipal mayor, Hon. Michael S. Florendo. Without your collective efforts, this activity would’ve never been concluded a success. May this partnered activity be a bridge of something greater and much more significant.

Calling the attention of all volunteers and individuals who are willing to take part on the maintenance and cleanliness of our prime tourist attraction, the suso beach.

We are grateful to the committed hands who pledged their hours for this upcoming event. We’ll see you there, earthlings! Every hand counts! More hands, less effort, more work to be done.

"A clean coast and a clear vision."

Our first initiative of 2026 reminded us that renewal starts with a single gesture. Grateful for the hands that helped and the year of impact ahead. Starting the year where the earth meets the sea. Leaving nothing behind but footprints, and taking nothing but the momentum to do more.

As expected for welcoming the new year, our tourist spots will be flooded once again with pollutants brought in by the visitors. As we, the youth have observed, we were called by the ocean, and we responded. Joined by a handful of volunteers, we cleared up majority of the shorelines, yet we will return for another major clearing operation tomorrow afternoon.

𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐠 𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭𝐢 𝐀𝐠𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐛𝐨 (𝐑𝐁𝐀) proudly took part in the AgriNegosyo Skwela of the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐈 (𝐃𝐀-𝐑𝐎1) from Weeks 1 to 4, a transformative journey that cultivated knowledge, strengthened leadership, and ignited the entrepreneurial spirit of young farmers and innovators. 🌱✨

Through this meaningful engagement, we deepened our passion for agribusiness, sustainability, and community empowerment proving that agriculture is not just a livelihood, but a legacy worth nurturing. 💚
