The Philippine Red Cross as an auxiliary to the government and an agency that is recognized by DOLE to assist companies or institutions to comply with First Aider certification requirements of the Department of Labor & Employment (Section 6.a, Rule 1, Book 4: Occupational Safety & Health of the Philippine Labor Code) and the Department of Tourism (Item c, Section 13, Chapter 3 of the Philippine Hotel Code).

LOOK | HOLY WEEK OPERATIONS 2026

The Philippine Red Cross Laguna Chapter, together with its branches, has strategically established First Aid Stations across key areas in Laguna including churches, major highways, pilgrimage sites, and popular resorts to ensure immediate medical assistance throughout the Lenten season.

Staffed by dedicated Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel and committed Red Cross 143 volunteers, each station stands ready to respond, serve, and save lives providing timely and compassionate care when it matters most.

"𝗔 𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆."

The Philippine Red Cross Laguna Chapter successfully conducted the Red Cross 143 General Assembly and Mass Oathtaking of Red Cross 143 Laguna Officers held in Cabuyao City, Laguna on March 12, 2026. A total of 350 dedicated volunteers from different municipalities and cities across Laguna came together in this significant event.

Red Cross 143 volunteers serve as the “eyes” and “ears” of the community often the first to report and the first to respond during emergencies and disaster situations.

The program officially commenced with welcome remarks from Honorary Chairman Mayor Dennis Hain, City Mayor of Cabuyao, Laguna. Also present were the Laguna Chapter Board of Directors led by Chairman Jaime B. Ching, the Chapter staff headed by Chapter Administrator Mr. Frank Gray M. Sorromero, and the dedicated Red Cross volunteers of Laguna Chapter.

Philippine Red Cross Laguna Chapter - Santa Cruz Branch will be conducting (5) days Basic Water Safety and Rescue Training on May 18-22, 2026.

The Philippine Red Cross as an auxiliary to the government and an agency that is recognized by Philippine Coast Guard (Memorandum Circular No. 3-14 Pursuant to RA 9993 and in reference of RA9593).
Training Guidelines and Requirements:
1. Participants should be 18-59 years old
2. Physically Fit (Medical Certificate required)
3. Holder of Active First Aid ID from any Red Cross Chapter
4. Official Receipt/OR of Training Reservation
Training Fee - Php. 3,200 per participants
EXCLUSIONS: Expenses during mile swim on the last day of the training. (Accommodations, entrance fee,meals,transportation,boat rental)

𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥| 𝗔 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

With hearts committed to service, the Philippine Red Cross Laguna Chapter Santa Cruz Branch extended relief assistance to 12 families affected by a fire incident in Brgy. Taytay, Nagcarlan, Laguna on January 30, 2026.

This meaningful effort was made possible through the unity and dedication of the staff and volunteers of the PRC Laguna Chapter, reflecting the true spirit of bayanihan.

Present during the distribution were Dir. Rexon Arevalo, Member of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Sherwin Vista, Red Cross 143 Chairperson of Nagcarlan, together with the RC143 volunteers, standing side by side with the community during this difficult time.

The Philippine Red Cross Laguna Chapter Santa Cruz Branch holds monthly First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR/AED training at Laguna Red Cross Hall, Santa Cruz, Laguna. This program equips individuals with essential life-saving techniques, such as performing CPR, using an AED, and administering first aid in emergencies.

A capacity-building training designed to develop leadership, teamwork, and a strong sense of humanitarian service among young volunteers.

The Philippine Red Cross Laguna Chapter Santa Cruz Branch deployed a 4-man Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) team and a 5-man Emergency Medical Services team during the annual celebration of Fluvial Procession of San Sebastian Martyr in Lumban, Laguna on January 25, 2026.

The team is tasked to provide emergency medical assistance during the event.
