Red Cross Youth refers to any young person, aged 7 to 30 years old, who has completed the induction courses prescribed under the Leadership Development Program; has been enrolled in the Membership and Accident Assistance Benefit Program; and has pledged as a youth member volunteer of the Philippine Red Cross. It collectively represents the sixth major services of the Philippine Red Cross and is de

dicated towards the development of the youth as agents of change and humanitarian leaders through direct involvement in various humanitarian actions. RCY aim to educate and empower the children and youth in the spirit of the Red Cross through relevant training and effective leadership and provide opportunities for directing and harnessing their energy and idealism into worthwhile humanitarian activities.

The 13th Youth Instructor Training Course, held from June 19-28, 2024, at Bridgewater School Inc., was a resounding success. Out of 16 aspirants, 11 amazing and enthusiastic students graduated, fully immersing themselves in sessions that empowered youth leadership through the Red Cross. Over 10 intense days of training, these emerging leaders delved into the core principles of the Red Cross movement, cultivating a profound passion for volunteerism that will shape their future endeavors.

YITC vividly showcased the transformative power of education and community engagement in action. This achievement would not have been possible without the invaluable contributions of exceptional National Instructors such as Princess Manalo, representing the Laguna Chapter, Mayumi F. Madulid from Pasay City Chapter and Mhel Mark Paul Millare from Camarines Sur Chapter.

The Junior RCY of Santo Tomas Elementary School Annex held a Youth Volunteer Formation Course (YVFC) on March 1-2, 2024. This event provided a valuable opportunity for Red Cross Youth to develop their leadership skills, know the basics of Red Cross, and connect with other like-minded young people. BLOOD TRANSFUSION SUCCESSFUL!

Headed by the Chapter Youth Council of Laguna, Red Cross Youth Councils all over the province gathered virtually today, February 24, 2024, for : YOUNG BLOOD: A Mobile Blood Donation and Pledge 25 Webinar" via ZOOM Meetings.

RCY Participants were oriented about the National Blood Services, Blood Donor Recruitment and Blood Donation Process by Resource Speaker Dr. Antonio Emannuel O. Villafania, Blood Center Manager of PRC Laguna. They were also introduced to the National Youth Program Pledge 25 by Gov. Jay-Ar Gallos, President of the National Youth Council who also briefly discussed "Limitless", the international program calling for climate change action.

Passion runs deep in the veins of a Young Blood, and with the youth today, blood will continue to flow to keep the world beating. Mabuhay ka, Kabataang Krus na P**a!
