MANILA, Philippines – AHF Philippines recently welcomed members of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation Global Human Resources team for a visit aimed at strengthening connections with local partners and gaining a deeper understanding of HIV programs and community-led initiatives in the country.

Visiting AHF Philippines were Anita Castille, Vice President of Human Resources; Liliana Zoldi, Senior Director of Human Resources; and Aileen Pelias, Director of Global Human Resources.

As part of their visit, the delegation toured LoveYourself Anglo, one of LoveYourself's flagship community centers, where they were received by Dr. Ronivin Pagtakhan, Founder and Executive Director of LoveYourself.

During the visit, Dr. Pagtakhan shared the organization's inspiring journey, highlighting its history, key programs, and milestones over the past 15 years. LoveYourself recently celebrated its 15th anniversary, marking more than a decade of advancing HIV awareness, prevention, testing, treatment linkage, and community engagement in the Philippines.

The discussion also underscored the longstanding partnership between AHF and LoveYourself, which has played a significant role in expanding HIV services and advocacy efforts. As one of AHF Philippines' key partners, LoveYourself has worked closely with AHF to improve access to HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and care services for communities most affected by HIV.

LoveYourself also shared how AHF's support over the years has strengthened and expanded its programs, enabling the organization to reach more individuals with quality, client-centered services and innovative community-based interventions.

The visit provided an opportunity for meaningful exchange and learning, reaffirming AHF and LoveYourself's shared commitment to ending the HIV epidemic through strong partnerships, community leadership, and accessible healthcare services.

MAY MAGANDANG BALITA TAYO, MGA CLIENTS. ❤️

Dumating na ang mga ARV medicines na matagal nating hinihintay.

Nais muna naming magpasalamat sa Office of the President sa pakikinig at pag-aksyon sa mga liham at apelang aming ipinadala hinggil sa kakulangan ng HIV commodities sa bansa.

Maraming salamat din kay DOH Secretary Dr. Brix Pujalte sa mabilis na pag-aksyon sa usaping ito. Nakakaengganyo makita na sa mga unang araw pa lamang ng kanyang panunungkulan ay may agarang pagtugon sa pangangailangan ng ating HIV community.

Umaasa kami na ito na ang simula ng mas matatag na procurement at distribution system para sa HIV commodities sa buong bansa. Sana ay patuloy nating mapabuti ang supply chain at mabigyang prayoridad ang mga hubs na may pinakamalaking bilang ng mga kliyenteng nangangailangan ng serbisyo. Sa LoveYourself pa lamang, halos 15,000 na ang aming mga kliyenteng kasalukuyang nasa treatment.

Umaasa rin kami na mabibigyan ng mas malaking pansin ang HIV prevention. Kasinghalaga ng paggamot ang pagpigil sa mga bagong impeksyon sa pamamagitan ng PrEP, HIV testing, self-testing, at iba pang preventive services.

Excited kaming makatrabaho ang bagong kalihim ng kalusugan. Marami pa tayong kailangang gawin, pero marami rin tayong pwedeng makamit kung sama-sama tayong kikilos.

At para sa ating mga PLHIV: huwag na kayong mag-alala. Dumating na ang mga gamot. Bukod dito, patuloy din naming ginamit ang mga nauna naming na-procure na suplay upang masigurong walang mapuputulan ng treatment habang hinihintay natin ang pagdating ng mga bagong stocks.

Maraming salamat sa lahat ng tumulong at nakiisa.

Tuloy ang gamutan. Tuloy ang pag-asa. Tuloy ang buhay. ❤️

New supplies from both LoveYourself’s internal procurement and the DOH have arrived. We are preparing to resume regular ARV dispensing to ensure continuous access to treatment services for all clients.

Xpress Refill is also being prepared for resumption.
