San Pedro Strengthens Clubfoot Detection with Training for 100+ Health Workers

In a major boost to local pediatric care, the Rotary Club of Metro San Pedro and the PNGOC recently held an orientation for over 100 health workers from all 27 barangays on early detection of clubfoot (CTEV). Supported by the San Pedro City Health Office, the seminar focused on the "frontliner" role of community workers in identifying and referring cases for free treatment. This MiracleFeet-funded initiative aims to eliminate untreated clubfoot by ensuring every child receives intervention during the most critical early stages of development.

✨ A night to remember for the Rotary Club of Metro San Pedro! ✨

We were honored to welcome RI District 3820 Governor Jeremie S. Lo during our 26th Charter Anniversary celebration last August 11, 2025 — a milestone marked with friendship, service, and shared purpose.

Under the leadership of our Club President Crispin Navoa, we proudly inducted new members and installed our new set of officers who will carry the torch of service with passion and dedication.

With this Rotary Year’s theme, “Unite for Good,” we are inspired more than ever to work together in creating lasting change in our community and beyond.

Safe Motherhood Program

Happened last July 31, 2025, the RC Metro San Pedro conducted a Safe Motherhood Project for the expectant mothers in Barangay Landayan, City of San Pedro, Laguna.

This activity aims to empower mothers and raise awareness to the communities by sharing them knowledge and resources for safe pregnancies and deliveries focusing on maternal and child health.

In line with the Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus: Maternal and Child Health, the RC Metro San Pedro started the program with lectures emphasizing on the importance of prenatal care and proper nutrition during pregnancy. Alongside the information disseminated are multivitamins supplements and folic acid distribution. Buntis Kits were also given to the 40 expectant mothers of the said barangay.

🤝 Uniting for a Greater Purpose 🌧️✨

In the spirit of this year’s Rotary theme, Unite for Good, the Rotary Club of Metro San Pedro proudly signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Barangay Landayan, marking a stronger commitment to collaborative service and community upliftment.

Following the MOA signing, we joined forces with our partners from the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce and San Pedro Lions Club to extend relief assistance to families affected by the continuous rains brought by Habagat and Bagyong Dante.

In Rotary Together We Save Lives.

RC Metro San Pedro, led by HW (Heart Working) President Crispin Navoa, collaborated with Laguna Provincial Hospital (San Pedro District) and Philippine Red Cross Laguna in a blood donation drive in celebration of LPH's founding anniversary, where eighty donors from different sectors participated.

The activity was intended for the benefit of patients in need of transfusions due to various medical conditions around the Province of Laguna.
