PACITA, San Pedro, Laguna—Kiwanis Clubs of Pacita Diamonds and Laguna Benevolence have aligned themselves with the mission of DepEd Tayo Pacita Complex Senior High School for Salimbay: ARAL Remediation Program, an initiative dedicated to strengthening students’ foundational skills in Filipino, English, and Mathematics.

Recognizing that learning gaps can hinder academic growth, the program serves as a bridge toward student empowerment and helps them rediscover their potential, build perseverance, and their confidence to thrive both inside and beyond the classroom. More than an academic intervention, it manifests the power of communities coming together to uplift students' learning and development, all while ensuring that no one is left behind.

In a time when the landscape of education continues to evolve, efforts like this affirm an unyielding faith in the youth and their limitless potential. Through a compassionate partnership, KCPD extends its utmost gratitude to the PCSHS Faculty for warmly welcoming this shared commitment and for continuously believing in a generation that carries the promise of a brighter tomorrow.

Far beyond simply sharing meals, this effort represented a joint commitment to empowering young people to lead with purpose, serve with compassion, and place Christ at the center of their journey. As a youth-led movement, CYM helps their peers to grow in faith, character, and service.

Through the inspiring dedication of our beloved leader, Sec. Miles Mendoza, it was made possible for us to play a humble part in this meaningful mission of CYM. SAN PEDRO, Laguna–KCPD conducted the Mission: Cleanpossible Campaign at Kanlungan sa Er-Ma, promoting the importance of cleanliness and proper hygiene during the summer season. With the intense heat bringing discomfort, perspiration, and odor, the initiative aimed to educate the youth on maintaining personal hygiene and healthy habits, especially among young women living under the same roof.

The campaign highlighted the importance of proper body care, feminine hygiene, and environmental cleanliness, emphasizing how tidy surroundings contribute to better health, comfort, and well-being—particularly during a warmer season when sanitation becomes even more essential. Through meaningful discussions, fruitful activities, and engaging games, the girls were empowered to practice cleanliness not only for themselves but also for their shared spaces.

To support these efforts, KCPD donated house cleaning essentials and hygiene necessities to help sustain proper hygiene practices in their daily lives. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous members who personally donated and made this meaningful initiative possible through their generosity and support.

Join your local Kiwanis Club and let’s create cleaner, healthier, and more caring communities for children.

SAN PEDRO, Laguna—We recently held our Bring Up Grades (BUG) Ceremony at DepEd Tayo Adelina 1 Complex ES - Laguna. BUG is a special recognition initiative that distinguishes students whose consistent academic improvement reflects grit, discipline, and a genuine commitment to doing better.

The program underscores the meaningful victories behind each distinction. By doing so, BUG cultivates and promotes further a culture where learning is not reduced to pressure or obligation, but experienced as something purposeful, enjoyable, and deeply rewarding at the same time.

Students who qualified under the program were conferred BUG medals, along with BUG certificates and tokens, as a mark of acknowledgment for their sustained effort. Alongside this, the top 5 achievers were bestowed with mini tablets, a practical learning tool intended to support their academic journey by making resources more accessible and engagement more dynamic.

Grounded in Kiwanis’ enduring commitment to children, BUG reflects its core belief in offering opportunities where they matter most. It is
rooted in the conviction that encouragement, when given at the right moment and intention, can shape a child’s confidence and future.

The Kiwanis Club of Pacita Diamonds invites educators, partners, and the wider community to take part in sustaining efforts that recognize and uplift the youth, because every step forward deserves to be seen, and every learner deserves the chance to thrive.

SAN PEDRO, Laguna–With their school nestled beside Laguna de Bay, students of DepEd Tayo San Roque ES - City of San Pedro learned that the waters beside them are more than a scenery; they are a responsibility. During the Marine Environment Protection Seminar held last March 13, these young minds showed remarkable curiosity as they explored how small actions can make big waves in protecting our marine environment.

Guiding them through this meaningful learning journey was AUX ENS Charmane Escares PCG, fondly known to the children as “Tita Charm.” Through engaging videos and lively discussions, she transformed complex environmental lessons into stories the students could truly understand.

This initiative was made possible by the leadership and passion of the 102nd Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary Squadron, with the presence of the Station Commander of the Philippine Coast Guard of Brgy. San Roque CPO Romeo Rañesis, along with SN1 Paulo Liwag and SN1 Jervin Castillo, whose commitment to marine protection continues to inspire the next generation.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Robert De Castro, the dedicated school principal, and the rest of the faculty of San Roque Elementary School for their openness in welcoming initiatives like this into their school community.

We also thank our Kiwanis family from the KC Chrysanthemum, whose minds and hearts stand alongside ours in this shared mission: to serve the children by nurturing, through guidance and example, a more intelligent, proactive, and service-oriented citizenship among them.

In moments like these, we can almost see the chain reaction forming: a room full of curious kids today, a community of protectors tomorrow. As knowledge spreads, the way ripples do in water—one drop, then another, until the entire ocean is moving. 🌊

Join your local Kiwanis Club and let’s serve the children and improve the world one community at a time.
