Dear Friends,

I just want to share some thoughts I’ve learned about Christmas in all the years that I’ve been into New Thought (30 plus years and counting; 20 of those spent being mentored by Rev. George Sison)
Before New Thought, I thought of Christmas as the time that Jesus was born in a manger complete with animals, angels and three wise men.

I did not understand the spirit of Christmas even though we were told by parents, teachers, nuns and priests that Christmas was a time of love, joy, peace and goodwill.

What I remember was that Christmas was a time to receive gifts, a lot of which would be cash gifts from relatives and godparents. It was also a time that we pigged out on spaghetti, fruit salad, cake and whatever food would be placed before us.

It was only when I got into New Thought that I learned that Christmas was more of a spiritual awakening – an awakening to the Christ consciousness. George Sison would tell us – baby Christ – because we were awakening to the divine within us, that which is peace itself, love itself, joy itself, wholeness, wellness, prosperity, abundance and wisdom.

I learned that Christmas was a reminder that Christ is within us and that everyday can be Christmas when we remember that God is within us.

My wish is that all of you awaken to the Christ consciousness within and experience the fruits of being in touch with the God within you. I affirm that you experience deep peace, deep joy, and a sense of being loved beyond measure.

And so it is!

Dear friends, please pray with me:

Treatment for a radical change of
consciousness in the Philippines

Right now it seems that everything is
falling apart and my desire is to feel
the unshakable peace of God

I know that God is all there is and that
God is Love
God is Truth
God is Peace
God is Justice
God is Abundance
God is harmony
God is all-powerful and
God is everywhere present.

If God is present everywhere then God is
within and around me I can go within and
talk to God, commune with God and know
what peace is,

God I know you are at work and that even
though I may not know it, there is an
underlying order
divine order in everything and that the
confusion and the uncertainty that now
appears to be the Philippine reality is
nothing but an illusion.

Knowing that, I now consciously choose to
be at peace and totally trust that all
my hopes and dreams for a more
prosperous and progressive Philippines
manifest.

I understand that life is a process and
that all things that are happening now
are leading us to the manifestation of
the collective peace and prosperity that
I desire to see in the Philippines.

I am also aware that this will take a
radical change in Philippine
consciousness.

I now affirm that many individuals in
the Philippines choose to take a stand
for peace and that they have the courage
to do what is honorable, loving, kind and noble
so that a radical change in consciousness takes place and
that change in consciousness is
reflected in the Philippines.

It may or may not happen in my lifetime
so i am letting go of all attachment to
the outcome of this prayer
knowing that if it does not happen in my
lifetime, at least I was part of the
consciousness work and

I completely trust that whatever I choose to plant in
consciousness will bear fruit for future
generations of Filipinos

And for this i am grateful
