Filipino Sign Language (FSL) Awareness
Post-Celebration of the 48th National Disability Rights Week
Date: August 15, 2026

Isang makabuluhan, masaya, at matagumpay na araw ang ating nasaksihan sa isinagawang Filipino Sign Language Awareness ng Alagang Landayan Persons with Disabilities (ALP) bilang bahagi ng Post-Celebration ng 48th National Disability Rights Week 🤟❤️

Lubos kaming nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng ALP members na naging napaka-cooperative at aktibong nakilahok sa buong programa. Nakakatuwang makita na halos lahat ay buong siglang nakibahagi sa FSL activities, learning sessions, at interactive exercises. 🤟👏

Hindi lamang tayo natuto ng mga basic Filipino Sign Language—mas lalo rin nating naunawaan ang kahalagahan ng communication, inclusion, respect, at equal participation para sa ating Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. ♿🤟

Siyempre, hindi mawawala ang excitement! Masayang-masaya ang lahat sa isinagawang raffle draw, at kitang-kita ang saya at excitement sa bawat pagbunot ng pangalan. Congratulations sa lahat ng lucky winners! 🥳🎊

Bago tuluyang matapos ang programa, nagkaroon ng isang espesyal na sorpresa mula sa ating ALP President. Ipinagkatiwala kay Teacher Rada, ang ating FSL Awareness Resource Speaker, ang pagkakataong pumili mula sa mga dumalo kung sino ang maaaring ma-deploy bilang FSL interpreter sa Barangay Hall at makapagbigay ng assistance bilang FSL interpreter/support staff. 🤟🏛️

Isang magandang oportunidad ito upang maipakita na ang PWD community ay hindi lamang beneficiaries—sila rin ay may kakayahan, talento, at mahalagang papel na ginagampanan sa ating komunidad.

Bilang munting token of appreciation sa lahat ng dumalo, ang mga hindi pinalad sa raffle ay nakauwi rin ng tig-2 kilo ng bigas.❤️

Dahil sa ALP, ang mahalaga ay hindi kung sino ang nanalo sa raffle, kundi ang lahat ay may maiuwing saya, aral, at alaala. 🥰💙

Maraming salamat sa ating Resource Speaker, Teacher Rhadalyn Salsaman, sa lahat ng naging bahagi ng programa, sa mga sumuporta, at higit sa lahat, sa ating mga ALP members na naging dahilan kung bakit naging matagumpay ang activity na ito. 🤟💙

In times when compassion matters most, your kindness and prompt response truly touched our hearts.

With just one request for Doxycycline for our fellow Alagang Landayan Persons with Disabilities organization members who had to wade through floodwaters, you immediately responded without hesitation. Your generosity and swift action provided reassurance and support to our members who were exposed to health risks during the flooding.

Thank you very much, Dra. Ma.Isabel Evangelista Carreon Doc Mabs for your compassion, generosity, and unwavering dedication to serving the community. 📅 Koleksyon: Tuwing ika-20 ng bawat buwan

👉 Ipunin at itabi ang mga plastic residual waste sa inyong tahanan at dalhin sa collection point sa araw ng koleksyon.

💚 Maliit man ang ating ambag, kapag tayo ay sama-sama, malaki ang magiging epekto nito sa ating barangay at kalikasan.

On the afternoon of August 8, 2026, the Alagang Landayan Persons with Disabilities (ALP) organization immediately responded to the needs of our fellow ALP PWD members whose homes had already been affected by flooding caused by continuous heavy rains.

The ALP organization distributed rice as emergency assistance to help support our members and their families during this difficult time.

Despite the heavy rain and flooded roads, the officers of ALP pushed through to ensure that relief reached those who needed it most.

We sincerely thank everyone who supported and took part in this relief effort. Together, we continue to build a caring and inclusive community where no one is left behind.

Yesterday, August 8, 2026, from 8:00am to 12:00 noon, the Alagang Landayan Persons with Disabilities (ALP) oganization conducted the continuation of its PWD Mapping activity in the Barangay Landayan area to update and verify the records of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), ensuring that members' information is accurate and up to date.

Due to the heavy rain when we reached some members' homes, we allowed them to accomplish the membership forms inside their houses for their safety and convenience. As a result, we were unable to take photographs of some members during the activity.

The event marked the culmination of a meaningful week dedicated to recognizing the rights, abilities, and achievements of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
