𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟴-𝟭𝟬: 𝗔𝘁𝗶𝗸𝗵𝗮- 𝗔𝗪𝗢 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴

ATIKHA–AWO Project Monitoring was successfully conducted from August 8–10, 2026 in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.

The activity assessed the overall impact of the ATIKHA–AWO Project in Barotac Viejo, particularly the social structures established and strengthened through the project including the PinoyWise Barotac Viejo Workers Association (PWBVWA), PinoyWise Youth Barotac Viejo (PWY-BV) and Barotac Viejo Migration and Development Council (BVMDC).

Through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) participants shared their experiences, key learnings, achievements, and reflections throughout the project implementation. The discussions also identified ways to sustain the initiatives, strengthen partnerships, and continue the advocacy beyond the project period.

The activity highlighted how collective action, empowered leadership, and strong community partnerships can create lasting impact and contribute to a more sustainable, safe, and gender-responsive migration community.

𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟱: 𝗣𝗪𝗬-𝗕𝗩 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀

The Environmental Consciousness for Next Generation Leaders activity was successfully conducted last April 25, 2026 in Poblacion, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, for the new members of PinoyWISE Youth Barotac Viejo (PWY-BV).

The activity empower children of OFWs to become environmentally conscious and responsible next-generation leaders. They were also encouraged to take meaningful actions to protect and preserve the environment and inspire others to do the same. 🌏♻️

𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟰: 𝗣𝗪𝗕𝗩𝗪𝗔 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆

PinoyWISE Barotac Viejo Workers Association (PWBVWA) successfully conducted its General Assembly Meeting last April 24, 2026 at Susan Bakeshop, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.

During the assembly, members discussed their Business Proposal and share their ideas, suggestions and recommendations to further improve and enhance their proposal. The discussion also highlighted the roles and responsibilities of each member in making the proposed initiative realistic, feasible, and sustainable.

Through active participation, teamwork, and shared commitment, PWBVWA continues to strengthen its organization and work toward building a more progressive and sustainable enterprise.

𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟴: 𝗣𝗪𝗕𝗩𝗪𝗔 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

PinoyWISE Barotac Viejo Workers Association (PWBVWA) Officers Meeting was conducted last April 18, 2026 at Susan Bakeshop, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.

The meeting brought together the association’s officers to discuss important organizational matters, plans, and priorities, particularly the preparation and development of a Business Proposal for AWO support and assistance. The officers shared their inputs and ideas to strengthen the proposal and ensure that the proposed initiative responds to the needs and priorities of the association and its members.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to clarify responsibilities, align plans, and agree on the next steps toward the development and submission of the proposal.

PinoyWISE Youth Barotac Viejo (PWY-BV) successfully conducted its General Assembly Meeting last April 9, 2026 at Poblacion Hall, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.

During the assembly, members participated in the re-election of officers and discussed the group’s future plans, activities, and priorities. The meeting provided an opportunity for members to share ideas, align their goals, and work together to strengthen the organization and its advocacy.

👩‍💻𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟵: 𝗣𝗪𝗕𝗩𝗪𝗔 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴

PinoyWISE Barotac Viejo Workers Association (PWBVWA) conducted a mentoring session last April 9, 2026 at Tagumpay Place, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.

The mentoring focused on the preparation of their DOLE-DILP Project Proposal, providing members with an opportunity to share insights, clarify ideas, and identify the necessary materials and requirements for their proposed project.

Through this activity, PWBVWA was guided in strengthening its project concept and developing a proposal that reflects the needs, goals, and aspirations of the association and its members.

📝𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬: 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴

Reintegration and Financial Planning was successfully conducted last March 20, 2026 at Poblacion Hall, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.

The workshop capacitated OFW returnees and active OFW family members on reintegration preparation and financial management.

One participant shared a heartfelt realization:
"𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘯𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘬𝘰 𝘱𝘢 𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘵 𝘯𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘢𝘯 𝘬𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘨-𝘢𝘢𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘥."

Her reflection highlights that working abroad is not only a personal decision but a family journey that requires preparation, planning, and shared understanding.

📄🖍𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟴: 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽

Migration Realities and Values Formation Workshop was successfully conducted on March 18, 2026, at Poblacion Hall, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.

The workshop provided participants with an opportunity to reflect on the realities of migration, the sacrifices of family members working abroad, and the importance of developing saving consciousness.

A key reflection from one of the participants was:
“𝐻𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑖 𝑝𝑎𝑙𝑎 𝑚𝑎𝑑𝑎𝑙𝑖 𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑏𝑎ℎ𝑜 𝑎𝑏𝑟𝑜𝑎𝑑, 𝑘𝑎𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑛 𝑡𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑔𝑎 𝑘𝑢𝑚𝑎𝑦𝑜𝑑 𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑎 𝑘𝑢𝑚𝑖𝑡𝑎 𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑎.”

This simple yet meaningful reflection captures the reality behind every remittance—the hard work, sacrifices, and dreams of OFWs and their families.

📝𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟯: 𝗕𝗩𝗠𝗗𝗖 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

The Barotac Viejo Migration and Development Council (BVMDC) successfully conducted it's 1st Quarterly Meeting last March 13, 2026 at People's Hall, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.

The meeting was spearheaded by Hon. Maricel Estrabon the Sangguniang Bayan Member and Committee Chairperson on Social Services and Co-Chairperson of the BVMDC. The meeting provided an avenue to discuss key migration and development concerns and paved the way for the development of draft plans and programs for OFWs and their families.

🌏 𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗞𝗛𝗔 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗘𝗘 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴

ATIKHA representatives joined the WEE Connect National Convening held on August 17–18, 2026, at B Hotel, Quezon City.

𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗞𝗛𝗔 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗼-𝗣𝗲ñ𝗮𝘀 also served as a 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 in Panel 2: “Advancing WEE and Care through Inclusive Value Chains.”

In the panel, ATIKHA shared insights from work with OFW families and communities, highlighting the importance of 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙, 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣’𝙨 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨, 𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧-𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙞-𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥𝙨 in creating more inclusive economic opportunities.
