The next generation is not shaped overnight.
It is shaped one Bible story at a time.
One prayer at a time.
One lesson at a time.
Habang ang mundo ay abala sa paghubog ng isip at values ng mga bata, may pribilehiyo tayong itanim sa kanilang puso ang katotohanan ng Salita ng Diyos.
๐ โTrain up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.โ โ Proverbs 22:6
Makikita natin ito sa buhay ni Timothy.
Before Timothy became a faithful servant of Christ and a co-worker of Paul, he was first a child who had been taught the Scriptures from infancy.
๐ โFrom infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.โ โ 2 Timothy 3:15
The seeds of faith planted by his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice eventually bore fruitโnot only in Timothyโs life, but also in the lives of many whom God reached through him.
Minsan, madaling isipin na ang kids ministry ay simply caring for children habang nasa worship service ang iba. Ngunit sa mata ng Diyos, ang bawat Bible story na itinuturo, bawat memory verse na pinapakabisado, at bawat panalanging itinuturo sa kanila ay mga binhing may walang hanggang halaga.
That is why it is so important to plant more than knowledge while they are still young. We want them to know God, love God, and walk with God. Because the purpose of kids ministry is not merely to raise children who know Bible stories, but to help raise a generation that reflects the character of Christ wherever God places them.
For the world does not merely need capable and successful people.
It needs godly parents.
It needs honest leaders.
It needs teachers with compassion.
It needs professionals with integrity.
It needs men and women whose hearts belong to God.
Hindi natin alam kung sino sa mga batang tinuturuan natin ngayon ang gagamitin ng Diyos sa mga darating na taon.
The child learning to pray today may one day lead a family closer to Christ.
The child learning to love Godโs Word today may become a faithful servant, a wise leader, or a powerful witness for the gospel tomorrow.
And through Godโs faithfulness, those seeds may bear fruit far beyond what we can see today.
For the seeds of faith planted in a childโs heart today may one day become a testimony of Godโs faithfulness for generations to come.
