There's something about the rain that makes the world slow down. For some the sound of raindrops, the cold breeze, and the comfort of staying indoors, reminds them to pause, and breathe for a while.

But beyond the beauty we see through our windows and our camera lenses, this same rain tells a different story for others.

Five days of suspended face-to-face classes may feel like a break for some, but behind every cancellation is a situation that many families and communities continue to face.

As we go through these days of continuous rain and changing weather, let this be a gentle reminder that While it's okay to appreciate the comfort that rainy days bring, let's also keep in our hearts those who are spending these same days protecting their homes, or simply hoping for brighter skies.
