𝙊𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧-𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙑𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 (𝙊𝙂𝘽𝙑) is real, it’s harmful, and it disproportionately affects women and children. Protecting yourself starts with knowing what to look for.

Today, we celebrate a powerful milestone in history—the right of women to vote.

This right was not freely given; it was fought for with courage, resilience, and unwavering determination. It stands as a reminder that every woman’s voice matters, every choice counts, and every vote shapes the future.

Voting is more than a civic duty—it is a symbol of equality, empowerment, and progress. As we honor this right, may we continue to uplift one another, stand firm for justice, and ensure that no voice is ever silenced.

Let us use our voice wisely, proudly, and bravely. 💜

: On April 30, 1937, Filipino women won the right of suffrage through a herstoric national plebiscite, with 447,725 (90%) voting “Yes,” surpassing the required 300,000 votes.

To honor this milestone and sustain its democratic spirit, a day was set aside for Filipino women to renew their advocacy and commitment to clean, honest, and free elections and to pursue these efforts with greater zeal. In 1984, Proclamation No. 2346 declared April 30 of every year as Woman Suffrage Day to encourage continued advocacy for electoral integrity.

As we mark the 89th anniversary of this milestone, we are reminded that while women have gained the right to vote, the work toward true gender equality continues—especially in ensuring more women are empowered and represented in decision-making spaces. There can be no full democracy if half of the population remains underrepresented.

To all Filipino voters, especially women: our foremothers fought for and won this right—let us continue to use it responsibly. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲. Ayon sa Proclamation No. 1307, ang ikatlong linggo ng Hunyo ay National Safe Kids Week—isang paalala sa ating lahat na ang kaligtasan ng mga bata ay dapat binibigyang-pansin at pinangangalagaan araw-araw.

Ngayong balik-eskwela, patuloy ang panawagan ng Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) sa mga magulang, g**o, at buong komunidad: sama-sama tayong lumikha ng ligtas at inklusibong mga espasyo para sa mga bata—sa paaralan, sa bahay, sa kalsada, at maging sa online.
